It’s the same script every year for the past 5.

- Lose the opener - fans have a cataclysmic meltdown, demand he be fired. Start a bunch of “who should we hire if…” threads.

- Pick up some momentum by beating a school for the deaf and blind by 90 at home

- Squeak by a decent team, but look pretty good on offense

- Beat up on another directional school

By Weeks 5-6 all of their confidence will have returned, and they’ll be back here to talk more shite. Right before they get beat by their next SEC opponent.

Les Miles never lost any OOC regular-season game in 12 years. How the mighty have fallen.

Yes he did. Played Wisconsin and we looked like shite. Same old running up the middle and toss sweep to the week side. That game got the ball rolling for his getting the boot.

Its LSU, of course there will be; there will also be a relatively rapid recovery, a couple of early season wobbles or near misses, and they'll usually finish much stronger than they started out.

Will it be enough to get them in the playoff? Hard to say. Will less than that be enough to get BK fired? Maybe. I lean towards yes, but the who the losses happen to, may matter more than when they happen.

The playoffs are the only thing that matters now.
NFL teams don’t cry about losing the opening game

Bama has lost ONCE to Vandy in 40 years. Meanwhile, Little Sis U loses to Bama on a regular basis to say the least.

Aren't yall embaressed that you were blown out, at home, by a team that lost to Vandy?

Seeing LSU fans surrender so quickly reminds me of some jokes.

How many Frenchmen does it take to defend Paris?

No one knows, it’s never been tried.

Why do the French plant trees alongside the road?

So Germans can march in the shade.

Why did the U.S. post office recall their line of stamps depicting famous Frenchmen?

People didn’t know what side to spit on.

Why do credit cards not work in France?

They don’t know how to say charge.

We might lose the first game, yeah. But maybe we win. I know no matter what team you support, everyone is claiming to make a playoff run. That's preseason for you. They only problem is y'all have been use to our defense underperforming.

And I love the underdog roll. And maybe Iam wearing purple and gold glasses. But the defense we have put together this year goes two deep at every position. Not talking dept chart. Two deep full of dogs. So sleep on us if you want too. We'll see at the end. And if we still suck, I will eat my crow.

If Kelly loses, it'll be lots of crying and national sports media pounding the Kelly can't win a big game narrative.

If Kelly wins, it'll be Clemson was overrated to start the season or Kelly won a game he was supposed to win vs an ACC opponent. Anything to take a big game win away from Kelly and continue the narrative.

It's a well-deserved narrative, to be fair.

That is only if Clemson loses 4 or more regular season games. USC beat LSU and then USC went on to go 6-6. That really showed LSU wasn't that good last year. This year we shall see how Kelly and the LSU football team do after loading up the roster with much better players in general. No one should be surprised on any of the teams that got more than normal players from the transfer portal. That could be good, bad, or neutral. This is why football is a lot better when most teams have a chance to win a game that would normally be either a blowout loss or a close loss. This should be much better and more fun to watch games on a regular basis.

And he went 12 years before he lost his first OOC during the regular season, dummy. An amazing record. It took a stupid play by a Cajun player in Lambeau Field with about 3 minutes in the game, and Whisky kicked a field goal for a 16-14 win. Les came that close to being perfect in every OOC game.

So you people sold your soul for offense, and losing has become much more the norm around BR. But hey, at least you don't have to watch all those amazing defensive players making life impossible.

Miles had a worse winning percentage his last 3 years than BK has in his first 3.

In 2015, Les Miles brought his tigers into Tuscaloosa ranked #2 in the first Playoff committee poll. When you lost that game, all hell broke loose. The hierarchy started a conspiracy to get Les out. The team fell apart. If you could have gotten your hands on Jimbo Fisher after the BAMA loss, Les would have been D.O.A. in 2015. As it was, they were just waiting for the next shoe to fall, and the Wisconsin game was the beginning of the end.

No support from the school and a heartbreaking loss at the barn later, the Sharks circling finished the job. Congrats, binder boy showed just how much you people were ready for such a transition.

They're not going 0-4 in the first four games. They're too talented and play La Tech and SE La in that span. Ridiculous to even think they'll be 0-4.

Briefly. But our panties will be thoroughly unwadded by Saban taking the Auburn job.
