If Vegas had a prop bet: Will Stein will be at UK longer than Lane at LSU, which are you taking?
Stein for sure. I don't think the NFL wants Lane and a program like Texas won't hire him unless he's successful as LSU, IMO.
Stein has both avenues wide open.

Steins dad beat UT. He knows how to do it. But go ahead and worry. You should.

He didn't get an offer from UK, but became the starter for Louisville. Then got hurt in the Kentucky game and lost his starting job to Teddy Bridgewater.

Well hell i didnt know. I figure if you could walk on at Louisville you could walk on at Kentucky. I sure as frick wouldnt want to play for my favorite childhood teams biggest rival, especially if it was just a walk on position. I would go somewhere else or try to walk on at Kentucky
He is from Louisville and decided to walk-on at the program closest to him?
You should ask him these questions that are bothering you.

Who picked Will Stein to be the best new coaching hire in the SEC this season? Not me. Just goes to show you that it is hard to tell who is going to be successful and who is not.
And yes I know the season isn't over yet. Also yes this is an attempt at a jinx post, so I hope someone bookmarks this to point out that I was wrong in a few weeks.
It's really all i've got left.

I think if Lane knocks it out of the park, I think he's going to try to scratch the NFL itch. If he doesn't, he'll be on the BK Express out of town.
I did not want Lane at first. Seeing the improvement of the on field product this far into his first season gives me hope. Hopefully LSU finally gets a guy that wants to hang around and build a legacy there. Lane may not be that guy, but a fan can dream.

I think Lane desperately needs a title(s) for his legacy. He'll be remembered anyway for his job hopping and his big mouth and he needs to balance those things with some hardware. LSU is giving him everything he asks for. If he is going to win he needs to do it now.

But will he wear his pouty face?…

Minchey is 10th in the SEC in QBR
You're taking 1 stat, but also Minchey was not projected to be a top QB in the country or Conference. Look at his history throughout his coaching career and you'll understand the development piece.

He will stay as long as Kentucky is willing to provide the resources to keep them competitive. If they don't, he'll bolt.

Clearly better than Arch, but not saying much.
Arch has been with drunky for two years now and has regressed if anything. 10 vs 12 isn't as close as it looks when comparing QB development.

Do not forget about the storyline of him coaching this year so that he can get a better coaching job in the offseason.
It's funny watching the "blue blood" fans live in the pre NIL era where name mattered. Y'all keep up that denial. It's a brave new world.

It’s likely that UK loses their last 4 games. It’s highly likely that they lose 3 out of 4 of their remaining games.

He is obviously free to do what he wants.
But, that would be disappointing. It is a good story and he has made an immediate impact. In the current era of CFB, it feels good to hope that loyalty and gratitude trumps $$.
He can win at UK. Hopefully, they back him to get what he needs to consistently compete there, and don't run him off for basketball like they did the Bear.

Our new AD is a revenue guy. He has already told coaches that money will not be an issue going forward.

I don't have his phone number, i probably wouldn't ask him if i did. Its not bothering me. I thought that maybe a football discussion message board might be a good place to ask a question about football. I don't really care that much.

Much like Spurrier hated Tennessee for not recruiting him despite growing up an hour from Neyland
This isn't true on both counts.
First, the distance between Science Hill HS in Johnson City to Neyland Stadium is, according to Google:
The driving distance between Science Hill High School in Johnson City, TN, and Neyland Stadium in Knoxville, TN, is approximately 150 to 160 miles.
This drive in the mid-1960's would have taken at least 2.5 hours.
SS understood that UT ran an offense completely and totally inconsistent with his QB style. He has stated on numerous occasions that he understood and held no hard feelings. Further, SS's father was a preacher who relocated his family approximately every four years. SS was not a native Tennessean with a strong Vols orientation.
Now, Steve absolutely hated Georgia.
An interesting tidbit - All three of UF Heisman winners fathers were preachers.

Exactly, when a football school hires him, money won’t be an issue.
