I do know that some of the info released stated that there were a host of conditions along with his enrollment, including anger management classes and community service. It seems that Saban is hellbent on making him a decent, contributing member of society.

So, you freely admit that the Factory *knew about a bench warrant for the two felony charges*? Nicely played. One *possible caveat is he kills or maims an Alabama factory member before being sentenced to consecutive ten year terms in Reidsville.

Saban needs to answer his phone calls and explain his reasoning on that one.

Where do you draw the line? Someone makes a horrible mistake, serve their punishment but should be shunned like lepers for the rest of their lives? Perhaps you should read this story of redemption.

People can and do change and I find it ironic that so many posters found it soooo convenient to overlook the conditions of his admittance to Alabama. I mean do any of you really think that Saban is hurting so bad for defensive linemen that he would let someone that the rant has labeled "Public Enemy #1" roam free on campus and in his locker room...

I find the complete tone change of Gump posters to be convenient as they are shown, once again, why they are the trashiest and most hypocritical organization in the SEC.

LOL. It's just funny how your friends weren't saying these things when it was Auburn taking these players.

Trust us, we're only laughing at how the high horse is shot out from under you. Auburn has obviously been documented as doing the same thing.

Wait actually we've never given a 2nd chance to a 300lb man who beat up a woman half his size

I'm a Bama fan, and I am not a fan of this move at all. With Pettway, the line was he was with the guys that committed a violent crime but not involved in the actual violence, which I could kind of stomach. It's a lot different to bring in someone who hit and choked his girlfriend.

That being said, this seems to be the new normal in college football. Alabama wasn't the only school trying to bring him in, so all the holier than thou posts are a little over the top. Chances are they really will rehabilitate this guy in many ways (as other schools would have), but I would rather Alabama not be the place it happens.

Coach Saban are you putting the families of Alabama at risk with your win at all cost mentality?

I can't imagine sending my child off to college and knowingly have her sit next to a Felonious charged 300+ pound killer in class.

Is Alabama a factory, penal institution, or a university?

Saban is as hypocritical as they come. He changes his position on issues for his advantage. He is a good coach but he sacrifices moral principles for personal gain. I do not respect the man at all.

I am not a Saban fan either, but you could replace his name in your response with just about any other coach's name and it would fit. It is a tough profession where you have to win or else, run a semi-clean program and try to get some of these athletes to graduate all while keeping rabid fans happy.

https://www.ledger-enquirer.com/2014/09/23/3317450/gus-malzahn-asserts-zero-tolerance.html

Auburn's coach was asked whether he has a zero-tolerance policy in place for domestic violence.

"There’s no doubt about that," he said. "I would expect that most programs around the country have that."

The same goes for any prospective recruit with a documented history of domestic violence.

"There’s no doubt," said Malzahn, who due to NCAA rules is not permitted to comment on specific recruits. "You don’t go there."

I was thinking the same thing...if you're good at it, bait it, drop it then wiggle it just a touch when it starts to lose steam......you got no patience, junior.

I think we can safely draw a line at domestic violence. No reason we can't have a competitive football team without bringing in players involved in felony domestic disputes.

I'm fine with second chances for misdemeanors but if he was bad enough to get kicked out of the SEC then the SEC should step in and say if you get kicked out of an SEC institution you stay out of the SEC all together. The current system doesn't make sense if you get kicked out of Florida, why should Auburn take you in? If you get kicked out of Georgia why should Auburn take you in? No reason Georgia should have to face this POS on the field.

I don't want him around campus, don't care if he's rehabilitated or not violence against women is inexcusable.

Poor attempts at deflection have been noted from the factory.

Alabama has crossed into new territory, it's on the front page of the rant for Christ sake (just in case you haven't noticed) and your king CS is not taking any phone calls about selling out the tiny bit of character it had left for a sack of magic beans...

AL.com is calling Saban answer the phone the people have a right to know what's going on.
