So, why should Florida consider South Carolina a rival now?

It's not a rivalry, when Florida loses to South Carolina, it automatically leads to a coach being fired.

While I believe Muschamp being at South Carolina definitely spices up the game vs Florida, most UF fans like him and don’t look at it that way. Sorry

Florida hasn’t finished with a top-10 recruiting class nationally since Muschamp was fired

Because he was a terrible coach who left us with the 96th ranked class when he left.

We were also never better than 71st scoring wise since 2011. The only way he torments us is that he turned our team into a shitshow.

Just admit it. You miss him.

BOOM will take us to places you WISH you could see but won't. Probably shouldn't have fired him that early!

His former players at Florida and the ones he coached at Auburn seem to really care about him, too. I think that says a lot about him, as well.

Yes, I love losing to FCS teams with top ten classes. Nothing says "I'm a good coach" like getting beaten by a team that didn't even complete a single pass.

We just landed a commitment today that had previously said the Gators were his favorite.

Isaiah Walker out of Miami. Class of 2020.
Can't find this anywhere and if true I'm sure he's a 3 star.

Problem with South Carolina is they share a recruiting base with Clemson

Florida should always have more talent than South Carolina

Muschamp tweeted the #SpursUp and several of the Gamecock sites online have it. The State tweeted an announcement about it, as well.

The State article

Who do you think Florida has to share the recruiting base with? There's a lot of schools in that state that all go for 3* and above.

We don't seem to go for the same recruits all that often.

Please, why don't you look at his players drafted in
'15,'16 and '17

Yielded 22 NFL Draft picks including FIVE #1's and multitle # 2's...2nd only to Bama and DOUBLE what UGA produced (11 and 2 #1's)

Thats nice and all but you can't win just based on that.
Muschamps defenses are top notch but you can't be awful on the offensive side of the ball.

Ironically, given SC's losses on defense last season, Muschamp's offense will likely carry their defense this year.

I think the offense will have improved compared to last year, as well.

Good point, they should be mad at the guy who won 2 national titles, not the guy who averaged 7 wins in 4 years
