David Williams came in as a 4 star back, like #3 apb in 2013. Has a ton of talent and 4.3-4.4 speed at 6-1, 220... He's a freak show. Last year I was so disappointed watching him fall over the line of scrimmage every time, and if he bust one for 15-20, he fumbled. Coach Boom needed to give him a swift kick in the butt to get him going. With a freshman most likely at QB, we're going to need all of DWill we can get.

David Williams is simply the 1st string running back by default. I feel confident that if Ty'son Williams didn't have to sit out David Williams would be the second possibly third back in the rotation. That's how mediocre the guy has been. He literally has done NOTHING

His players don't always play hard for him , that's why he lost so much at UF the players didn't play for him at the end of the last 2 years and the Sugar bowl.

It's fine for Muschamp to challenge his players, but don't do it in a way that harms their development. More importantly, though, don't go tell the media about it. That's the kind of stuff you keep behind closed doors.

“it’s hard when you have to challenge someone every single day of practice and every meeting. It gets tiring for coaches."

That's called coaching. Some players strive for greatness on their own but the majority have to be kicked in the butt until they achieve it.

That's called ' this young man has been given ample opportunities to prove himself on the field' and at some point individual accountability is the remaining option. Gamecock fans have done nothing but support & wait for him to take his place in the backfield. Coaches too. It's okay if the Philly kid was over-rated out of HS and is big ten/Rutgers caliber. USC/Muschamp has no I'll will towards #33 - his time to get it together is now or never, though.

Ty'son Williams outta Sumter and Rico Dowdle from the mountains of NC are ready to take the job.

Muschamp is a douchecanoe, but honestly far worse gets said at every practice every day at every school that plays football.

That said, going to the media was uncalled for.

I'm not saying you're wrong by any means, but can you elaborate on why they didn't play hard for the sugar bowl?

If memory serves they only had 1 loss to us at that time and were highly ranked. I realize UL isn't exactly the highest class of opponent, but it's the gd sugar bowl! Was there somethign going on that the players were fed up with?
