I don't think he stays injury free in the future with his is style of play. Too many freak athletes on the defensive side of the ball with the amount of scrambling he does.

I expect him to vastly improve his passing with more time in the SEC. Therefore, he won't have to run it all the time. It is something to watch, though. It caught up with Connor Shaw this year.

If hes smart about taking hits, he will. He's not exactly a Tebow or Newton physically.

My thoughts exactly. If things go well, this may be his best rushing year.

Let the record show: This is yet another A&M thread, started by a fan from another school.

Just pointing out the obvious before someone claims that our entire fan base thinks we're headed to the Super Bowl.

Carry on.

Good thread.

Have not seen anything like it. Ever.

Your astute analysis is appreciated.

Please explain why you think that?

Jameil Showers, Tannehill's backup last year and the presumed starter until August, is a pretty good passer. He looks better passing than Manziel. The offense would change as Showers does not run as much, but please expound on why you think we're done?

Edit: I'll throw in that Matt Davis, LSU offered, is redshirting this year and appears to be pretty decent himself.

All of the excitement and playmaking ability would be sucked out of the team and you would go back to being the same ole schwaggies.

Someone like Reid or Elam is going to take his head clean off his shoulders one of these days.

He's done pretty well this year. Worst hit I can remember was a bench he took out in the LSU game.

As the top 3 defenses in the SEC didn't so much as bruise him, I think he'll be fine.

Well this is an SEC message board that is specifically geared towards sports. I'm not calling you out, but I don't know what else people expect the discussions to be about on this site

So you've watched Showers play, what do you think about him?

Next year, The rest of the SEC will have a better handle on limiting Johnny. A&M needs to get more play makers involved in the offense, if they want to go to the next level.

So I dont think JFF will have to carry the team like he has this year.

But if they use him like they use him now, I dont think he would hold up. I dont think any QB could.
