I dont get why so its so unbelievable that Orgeron can win.

Are you like USC, do you think he's dumb because he has a raspy voice and a Cajun accent?

as most have said, it feels like it is just a matter of time.

He has the talent.

He just needs the stars to align and somehow avoid an SEC West asskicking at least one game a year, which has become a Kirby tradition.

Has more to do with the multiple failed marriages, the alcoholism, the domestic abuse, the Hummer, the daily sixer of Red Bull, the shirtless wild boys stunt at Ole Miss, etc etc

Plan was to completely overhaul offense in 2020. With Monken, we’ll attempt to be extremely more aggressive. I am glad he saw the writing on the wall with Coley. Richt made the mistake of riding with assistants far too long.

the alcoholism

Its been 30 years.

Cant say that same about your offensive coordinator though.

Bear Bryant was also something of an alcoholic himself.

Bryant was a major league alcoholic, but Mary Harmon was his only woman.

I'm not sure what any of that has to do with someone's ability to win anyway.

Stupid point by cajunbama per usual.

So you think he should be inept at winning football games because he used to be an alcoholic, has married multiple women, has a domestic abuse charge from 30 years ago, used to drive a hummer, drinks red bull, and likes to take his shirt off? Wtf does any of that have anything to do with winning football games or mental acuity? You just make yourself look dumber while trying to make O seem dumb. Bravo

Of the current FBS National Champ Coaches...

Number of years coaching P5 FBS Football and (age)
Mack Brown - 17 - UT- 2005 - (54)
Nick Saban - 9 - LSU- 2003 - (52)
Dabo Swinney - 9 - Clemson - 2016 - (47)
Les Miles - 7 - LSU - 2007 - (54)
Ed Orgeron - 7 - LSU - 2019 - (58)
Jimbo Fisher - 4 - FSU - 2014 - (48)

Considering CKS at (44) has only coached 4 years, and already made it to the national champ game in his 2nd year. I’d say he’s ahead of the curve.

Only Johnson and Erickson at Miami, Stoops at OU, Meyer at UF, and Ford (33) at Clemson ( but they went on probation the next 4 years, after ) won theirs at an age younger than Kirby.

Are you blind . They were clearly better than Clemson and light years better than UGA. They just had every bad call and break go against them in the semi final. Every sane fan in CFB knows they were absolutely the better team; it wasn’t close. The game against LSU would have been an absolute classic.

I believe LSU had an Auburn year. Yes will be shocked if you finish ahead of Bama this year in the west. I’m thinking more like 3rd in division and 5th overall.

If he does this, I think he'll definitely win one.

Is he capable of it? He's a very good coach and has a loaded program but his offense needs to step up.

Like any other team, it all depends on the qb. You can't win a title anymore with a bus driver qb. Those days are gone. It began with Watson and Dabo.

Bama could do it once upon a time but now other teams are recruiting at their level. LSU is chocked full of NFL talent again this season. Still, it will depend on how well Brennan plays. Same for Georgia, Bama and Clemson. OSU has Fields and Clemson has Lawrence. They are ahead of the curve.

When Burrow threw the pass to Chase and LSU took the lead vs Clemson. Herbie said he spoke with Burrow earlier in the week. He said he asked Burrow why he still throws the passes when it looks like the wr is covered. Burrow said if the db isn't looking, then they're open. You have to have a qb who has the nuts to make those passes. Same as Lawrence vs Bama the previous season. The Clemson wr's were making all universe catches vs Bama. If Kirby gets one of those qb's, he will win a title.
