Why not just say, “I’m glad Saban is gone, but I’m scared as frick that Alabama may not drop off much as I hope.”

Because I’m not.

You do realize your new coach did not score an offensive touchdown against a 3-9 Arizona St last year right? He was 12-6 at San Diego St and got blown out and did not have his team ready in the biggest game of his career. This is the guy replacing Saban? You all know that this is going to be a disaster and we cannot wait to see this all play out.,

The OP is discussing the decline of the Alabama program after bear left and doesn’t mention LSU anywhere, yet you choose a petty comeback to talk about the team you’re obsessed with. Nice

I know it hurts.

I could say it will get better. But it won’t.

one ten win season over the next 6 years

Cherry picking is easy. Bama had 4 ten win seasons and won 1 natty in the 10 yeas after Bear died.

I am more excited for college football to start than anytime since January 10th, 2012. I expect there will be some growing pains, but it will be fun to watch fans here have a nuclear meltdown when Alabama makes the playoffs again. Just history repeating itself.

Not cherry picking anything. It took 6 years after Bear left to have a ten win season.

No excuses for LSU any longer. No more crying over refs. No more crying about chargers. You should be able to dominate Bama from here on out.

I don’t think anyone will be having meltdowns anytime soon, it’ll probably be like Georgia 1980 all over again or worse.

From 1983-2000, which was from Perkins first yr at Alabama to Saban's first yr at LSU, Alabama won 66% of its games, even counting those 9 probation games as losses, and LSU won 56%. Alabama won 3 SEC titles, and LSU won 2.

Congratulations.

Go look up how many times Bama beat LSU with. Bear and Saban as your coach.
Then look up how many times Bama won without those two as your coach. Your new coach is not Bear or Saban

Without the two named above, Bama still owns LSU 28-19-5.

You may want to try another angle here.

That’s my point. LSU should win more games against Bama now that Saban is gone. You’ve taken 5 steps backwards with this hire. Like my previous point, LSU was 14-12 against Bama in between Bear and Saban and that’s where things are again.

Uh I think you need to check your numbers because your information is 100% wrong

Why do you lie? Alabama won 10 games in 1986. In fact, from 1983-2000, Alabama won 10 games 7 times and LSU won 10 games only 2 times, which were 1987 and 1996.

So though that was the worst 17 yrs in my lifetime for Alabama football, LSU was worse.

Congratulations and thank you for this edifying opportunity.

Now remove the games from the 1800’s
LSU was 14-12 in between Bear and Saban. It’s pretty simple.

Wow, even factoring the above ‘LSU dominance’ ( ), Bama is still 16-5-5 against LSU.

Try again.

you are horrible at this. If you want to exclude Saban from Alabama then you exclude Saban from LSU.

From 1983 (Perkins first year) to 2000 (Saban first yr at LSU), Alabama beat LSU 11 times, lost 6, and tied once.

So if you want to talk about a team that sucked before Saban, then you are looking squarely at LSU.

We’ve pretty much owned LSU the past 15 years as well.

Yes that’s my point.

You won’t anymore without Saban
