You guys have beaten us once out of the last 6 matchups bruh. Congratulations. BTW I was a big fan of Hendon and hated the way he went down.

I don’t worry about that too much. Either he works out, or we hire whoever we want.

Where is Venables going? I was assured that the great defensive mind that won NCs at Clemson would not allow the defense this year to be as bad as last. They would have a great defense this year. So, I assumed 10-2 or even 11-1 from their take.

As bout as much if chance as you fricks with Tony V coming to LSU! Look, he has no Interest in returning to OU. All that talk will be over when he throttles down and runs up the score. After this weekend, most Oklahoma fans will not think kindly of him and will boo him out of town.

OU is top 5 revenue in cfb and has larger endowment. In every measure OU is a much better program. But Tenn does have a bigger stadium. You got that going for you champ.

Bigger stadium, better NIL set up, a more current and relevant AD top to bottom. Better baseball program currently, better basketball program currently.

But y’all have a highly competitive softball program. Imagine if Tennessee had been in cake conference like the big 12…

I think such a move would be well received by the fans, but I don’t know if either OU or JH can get over the firing.,

This whole thread has turned prickly and contentious...let's just all put our differences aside and not lose sight that texas and Texas a&m are fricking gay.

Tony Vitello would be in Baton Rouge if Woodward wanted him.

OU fans pointing out endowments lol, because that’s ever mattered to a head coach

That’s why Duke, Northwestern, Yale and Harvard always dominate CFB

This isn’t 1975. I would say OU historically is the better job but for the next 30 years, it’s definitely Tennessee

OU is 10th in recruiting for next year; and 8th in the SEC. That’s about where most people think they will be every year.

Tennessee stadium and game day environment are miles above OU.

And are we really going to compare living in Norman and Knoxville?

This is just like when OU fans said USC is a lesser job…..

My fiancé and I have good friends with a place out on Grand Isle and find ourselves pulling for LSU. I don’t think BK is going to last in the long run, but LSU has the funds and fan base to go make a splash hire when that time comes.

Damned right. It would take a minimum of three people to provide sufficient cover for that type of square footage.

Man this topic will never go away. The answer is….NEVER! Heupel is building something sustainable at Tennessee. He’s home.

I agree. He'll be there as long as Tennessee wants to keep him.

There is only on caveat: his sister Andrea is married to Dan Boren (son of David), and Dan is a pretty high-level guy in the Chickasaw tribe. I say this only to acknowledge that he has powerful family in Oklahoma, so if, for whatever reason, Venables is no longer HC, and Heupel is still at Tennessee, he has family that may try to persuade him to come back. But I think that would be a longshot.

OU is right there with you - before we started getting SEC money! That's Big12 money you see there. SEC is going to pay us more than 3 million measly dollars.

Why does fat chance and slim chance mean the same fricking thing? English is a fricking weird language.

Oklahoma fired his fat butt. That's not something he's gonna forget, would you? Stoops still represents that place as the sooner godfather of all things football and he was the one that sent him packing. I'd personally rather extract a pound of flesh each time I see them on the schedule than join them.

I've never seen Heuple express an ounce of sportsmanship in Knoxville and I'll be more than a little surprised if his first attempt is in Norman.

You are an idiot. By no metric on Earth is OU a better school, and it is definitely not a better job.
