And have a lunatic fan base that’s unable and unwilling to adjust itsvthinking to the new college landscape. say what you want, but Bama fans are still stuck in the past no college football coach wants to come to that mad house when they win an NC without the raving lunatic fans that Alabama has

Wouldn't be any worse than trying to hire a coach barely a few days from heading into the playoffs which btw, they haven't even sniffed in their entire existence.

That's rich coming from an LSU fans. No doubt Bama has some crazy fans but LSU is just as bad only it's mixed in with a victim mentality because Bama has owned LSU since before the SEC was formed.

And it's more professional, so you don't have to 'babysit' the players as much.
Depends on what you find more fulfilling.
Is furthering your career more fulfilling?
or ...
Making a positive impact on someone else's life more fulfilling?
I am very glad Nick Saban chose the latter.

It wouldn’t work if they did. He made it pretty clear he wants to stay where he’s at and he already has a better team than Alabama and much greater job security.

Extensions mean nothing but a commitment by the institutions. If Alabama came calling (which would mean this season isn’t just a flash in the pan) I would expect him to take the call. Bama is the gold standard of college football. Hard for many to accept. But true.

They should.
He’d be the perfect fit.

24 year old transfers and a Heisman QB
He doesn't have to.
You think he's gonna get fired if he wins or loses a title game this year and the goes 8-4 five straight seasons??
He has no pressure where he is except that which he places upon himself.
You think the boosters in Bloomington are expecting a Saban-type run?

Alabama might try, but why would Cignetti need Alabama?

I didn't say it would be. It would be a great hire if they could pull it off.

Their boosters are stepping up big, they had a huge portal haul today. Bummed LSU didnt take a bigger swing at Nick Marsh.

Correct...when they out cheated everyone. Those days are now gone.

Agreed. But they aren't dropping bags at the feet of 18 year olds still in high school.
Cignetti has a qb transfer that has already thrown for 9600+ yards in his career in 2.5 seasons.
He should be the favorite to win the Heisman as soon as this season is over.

Reggie Bush exists, you know?
So does Cam Newton.
And SMU.

Ive watched a few of Hoover's games at TCU and I cant see him winning the heisman. Great arm talent, but doesnt take care of the ball
Media will have Arch as the pre-season favorite once again, without a doubt

My comment was tongue-in-cheek, but Cignetti wouldn't be interested in someone who he thinks he can't correct.
I'm guessing Fernando comes back if IU comes up short in the CFP this season.
Which means Hoover will have a year in the system before he turns 23 and starts for Cignetti. Lol.

This is going to turn into another early 2000s Bama. I can see it unfolding already. If you know any Gumps you better start saying farewell. It would have been easier to find a Sasquatch than finding Bama fans during the Shula years
