lol 18 months ago when this subject came up we got articles out of Alabama saying pray for the 3 schools who draw the tide annually.

Now look at you. Nobody and I mean absolutely nobody more hypocritical than an Alabama fan.

Would Alabama be the only school playing 3 “Big 6” opponents every year?

If so, yes, I hope we continue to fight against that.

Sorry, in what universe is Auburn “big 6”? They suck and have sucked for quite some time. Just because Bama needed 2 freak miracles to beat Auburn doesn’t change the fact that they lost to NM State. I’d much rather play Tennessee and Auburn than Ole Miss and A&M. But I FULLY expect Bama fans to complain about it all year and use it as justification for their 4 losses.

Yep starting next year Auburn is maybe even a bottom half football school.

It’s a lot of excuse making coming out as Tuscaloosa.

Well when y'all decide to do that, let us know.

Sure we can play 3 out of the big 6 assuming they all get bye weeks before we play. I'm sure that's not happened before.

Again, “big 6” is not really a thing anymore going forward.

I never said that. When you were whining about having Florida while Alabama, for instance, had Tennessee I said giving the Big Six all permanent other Big Six opponents was the only fair way to do it. If you are going to give Alabama three Big Six (8) perm opponents then the other Big Six(8) should have the same but Auburn was given Vandy, UGA was given USCe, etc etc

Alabama was one of the only teams that wanted a 9 game schedule.
Unlike LSU

SEC voted on this last year. LSU voted to play 9 SEC games. Bama voted to play 8 SEC games. That's the facts. What Saban said in 2021 is irrelevant. Bama VOTED to play 8 SEC games. If some of you Bammers have a problem with 8 games, talk to your AD.

This was a one year solution for this year. Going forward has not been voted on yet.

Woodward has publicly advocated for 9 games since it’s been a topic.

You know it’s coming. I’m not kidding, it’s all we’re going to hear about. Pitiful. Most of the fanbase is bandwagon, they have no idea what it’s like to have a bad season and most of them won’t even stick around til November so they can find out. Bama fans have no semblance of resilience.

Hell, I say we have a 10 game SEC schedule. 8 sucks. 9, eh, not enough for the size of the conference.

Why not....Bama is the only team ever to run the SEC gauntlet undefeated!

the divide was originally between the big schools like LSU and Alabama,

With the addition of Texas and ascension of Ole Miss , LSU is at best the 5th team in the SEC, so “big school “ is debatable
