Arkansas has been playing well. Their remaining schedule is favorable and 3 of the 5 games are at home. I can see them finishing 7-11 or 8-10 adding to Quad 1 wins which may be good enough. I’m also wondering if the scales will be tipped in their favor at selection time simply because of Coach Cal.

I agree. ESPN shows State and Kentucky as locks. I think they are. I just know an 0-5 finish is the only way they could get to 7-11, and that would be a bad look. For the record, I believe there is 0% chance Kentucky goes 0-5. Probably State too, but we've all seen them do some weird things.
My main point is that I think at least one 7-11 team gets in, and this metalreb dude said it was impossible.

Arkansas is looking from the outside for the tournament.

I also read in this thread where he said he changed his mind and now he see’s that it is not only possible, but probable.

quote:Because OU has beaten in non conference Arizona which is near the top of big 12 , Michigan, which was 2nd place last week in big ten , Louisville another good team and Georgia Tech which isn’t as bad as some thought . If it was for our ooc we been done out of it .With that being said if OU doesn’t win 4 more games they are out and I don’t see OU winning barely two more with the schedule we have left .
Well OU is 3-10 and projected as a 10 seed

I missed that. Good to see you've come around.
I am about 90% confident that ANY 7-11 SEC team/s will get in this year. But we shall see.

No way a 7-11 record gets you in. No way.
So long as none of the losses is to LSU or South Carolina, then you won't have any losses outside the top 50 in the Net rankings.

Not at 6-12. 7-11 is borderline but 8-10 should be enough.

They haven't played well enough to win the close games against top tier SEC opponents. They haven't had a really big win all year in conference.

State was a 9 seed last year with an 8-10 SEC record and the SEC wasn't even close to what it is this year.
8-10 might be a 6 seed.
8-10 might be a 6 seed.

Everyone should get in besides LSU, Carolina, and Oklahoma. Maybe punish the Texas coach for sucking

7 wins will get you in unless something like last year happens in conference tournies . Ooc will matter though .

Here’s hoping we don’t have to find out

7-11 is in this year.
Arkansas at 6-12 might sneak in
Oklahoma has five Quad 1 games left.
If they finish 3-2, they'll end up 6-12 in the SEC.
However, they'll bring a 7-10 record in Q1 games (many upper tier Q1 too) that no other non-SEC bubble team is going to come close to matching.
They'd probably enter the SEC tourney on the right side of the bubble with that Q1 record even at 6-12 in the SEC.

Yep we need 2 more wins and prob a tourney win. Our ooc games have helped us . Sucks we blew. a 5 point lead with 20 /secs left vs LSU and blew the game vs A@M when one of our player scored almost 40 points but didn’t touch the ball at all last 7 minutes of game lol. OU can’t compete at the top without more height around rim but if we can shoot 50 percent like today and not turn it over and not get totally killed on rebounds we can play with mid tier teams .

The cream is rising to the top. A&M in a free fall, which isn't surprising given their lack of talent and maple syrup style of play. Florida, Alabama, and Auburn are the only SEC teams with a chance of getting out of the first weekend in the tournament.
