Why was Mingo the last to touch Yeldon?

Shouldn't there have been a Safety back there?

#6 (Loston?) hurt himself (ankle I think) earlier in the game, and was unable to react to Yeldon's cut. It was an "ankle breaker" except that ankle didn't need much help getting broken.

Because 6 broke both ankles on the play?

It was obviously because Barrett Jones held him to the point that he carried him 20 yards downfield and threw him on the ground! DAMN CHEATIN BIRMINGHAM REFS!

Because he owes Steen a quarter for the grocery store pony ride down the field?

Because Barret Jones blew him off the line of scrimmage and legally blocked him 20 yards down the field.

-Because Steen didn't turn and block him at the 15?
-Because every one else on the team was not in position to?
-Because Chavis dialed up a blitz when Bama was already in FG range, therefore risking the big play TD on a simple RB screen?
- Because Les Miles tried to kick a FG instead of going for it?

That was a good read by AJ. He saw blitz and checked into the screen pass.

Because the rest of the defense quit again?

Was not a check. Play was called. Coaches stated they were hoping for pressure and got it. Perfect play call.

We also blitzed on the play so I think we only had one safety deep.

Mills busted the assignment, he was supposed to have Yeldon when he released but he continued the blitz. The DB coach and several players jumped all over him.

Bama was holding all night long. It wasn't suprising. Lsu exploited Alabama's weaknesses. What should concern all Lsu fans are the bone headed calls Lsu made throughout the game, the penilities that stop drives and kill momentum and the mental mistakes made by experienced players.

I'm conviced the vast majority of LSU fans don't know the difference in blocking and holding.
