You forgot to add that Alabama has more class and will always beat Auburn.

Honestly I don't have a BIG problem with any of your points. However, it's like reading all of the cons w/o reading any of the pros. Pretty good list for why he might not return to the game, here are some reasons why he MIGHT:
1. Gus and his coaching staff turned a terrible team that had quit, couldn't tackle, and didn't believe in themselves at all, finishing 3-9...to the national championship game...seconds from winning it. He did it in just a few months. Imagine what he can do with another entire year. For most of the players, this season was year one in each system..they aren't starting from scratch now..2nd year in a system=big jump
2. Apparently losing no coaches
3. Losing very few starters...great depth where we are losing players
4. Nick Marshall was in the offense for a MONTH when the season started...he will have an entire year. He will learn the passing game too now...imagine if Auburn can still run it right down your throat but you don't know if it is coming or not...and when it does, it is more multiple. Nick Marshall junior to senior year=Matt Jones junior to senior year
5. Upgrading at WR
6. Year two of a very unique, VERY EFFECTIVE strength and conditioning program...many of our big contributors haven't gone thru an off-season strength and conditions program at all are about to: Montravis Adams, Carl Lawson, Tony Stevens, Marcus Davis...if you thought Auburn had crazy good conditioning last year, just wait
7. When your captain keeps leading you to land again and again, you quit questioning...you believe, you trust, you follow. That is something that Gus focused on very much with these players last year that he won't have to spend much time on at all this year. They all believe. They are all on board.
8. If you think that the SEC is going to "figure out" Gus's offense in the off season, you must be under the delusion that the offense is smoke and mirrors. It's pace and execution. It's not the DiVinci Code. You know how FSU slowed the running game in the first half? They were putting 9 guys in the box, even when we had 4 WR's. After what should have been a TD to Ricardo Louis who dropped it, and what was a TD to Melvin Ray, they had to back out and Auburn ended up with 300 rushing yards.
9. Auburn's offense will be just as good, probably better...and the defense will absolutely be better. I will take a ban bet on that. That simply equals a better team.
10. Auburn will dominate the LOS on both sides of the ball...look at who we are losing, who we are adding, who is returning, and tell me I'm wrong.
All of that said, who knows if that=Auburn back in the game. All I know is it isn't an honest analysis if you only look at one side of it (see OP), and if you do an honest analysis, you have to believe that Auburn has a very good chance of getting back there soon.

Why Malzahn will never win a championship at Auburn as head coach
He may or may not ever win a MNC but he is the best Auburn coach they've had in sometime. Malzahn's offense in a Bama killer because they don't match up to that style. It's gonna be very interesting the next few season in Bama. Malzahn could be the beginning of the end to Nick Saban.

Isn't the main reason the West itself? I would argue that there are now 4 teams in the West that could win the division in any given year AND two more in OM and MSU that will push for division titles but maybe not every year. If Bielema can right the ship at Arky (pun intended), all 7 West teams will be threats. That's why I'm not buying Auburn as a clear cut favorite for anything next year. They could be just as good in 2014 as they were this year and go 8-4...easily. They could have easily been 8-4 this year. Change two plays and they would have been 9-3 before the bowl game.
