I know this is hard for a Barner to understand, but when you make a commitment to an employer you should finish the employment period, excepting exigent circumstances.
To leave now would be akin to a teacher leaving his job the week before finals. Plus, it's not like the absence is going to make 10rc's situation any worse. After all, they've got the bastard lovechild of Captain Ahab and Moby Dick running the shitshow.

Yeah. I bet that's his master plan.
Are you stupid, special or some combination of both?

It's the right thing to do and is also the best thing for all parties concerned.
a. UT has very little leverage to insist that he not coach in the CFPs. And, it's actually in UT's best interest for him to do so.
b. UT & Pruitt will get positive publicity. Pruitt doing what's right by not abandoning the players at UA will benefit Pruitt and UT in recruiting.
c. With help from Fulmer, UA CoDC Lupoi and Saban, Pruitt should be able to handle hiring his UT staff, early signing period recruiting at UT, and then playoff coaching at UA. Then he goes to UT for the recruiting home stretch. The timimg works out fairly well.
d. Pruitt doesn't want any bad baggage, damage to his relationship with Saban or burned bridges.

Only way a Tennessee coach ever makes the playoffs.

Alabama destroyed Fulmer, his career and the University of Tennessee. Made him quit coaching, made him unable to find another coaching job (only schools that would hire him is Tennessee, not even Div-3 schools would touch him), and destroyed Tennessee football.....
UT is still lost in the woods, and this hiring of Pruitt, while it might be a good one, will not end well for UT

I doubt you would want your incoming head coach to help Florida or Georgia Tech win a national title while your team sat back twiddling its thumbs.
See Kirby Smart. Worked out pretty well. And during the NC game they must have mentioned him going to UGA like 200 times. Recruits were watching.

Because Pruitt wanted to and was willing to walk away if he wasn't allowed to. It was why MSST moved on as well. It's also likely why both schools liked him as well. It shows a dedication to the kids. This was the hang up in negotiations at TN. And I understand why TN didn't want to wait as well. This early signing day effects everything.

Well, that and the fact that he filled out his application in crayon

I would do this if I were Pruitt. Screw Bama. They never offered to fire Saban and bring on Pruitt as the HC? Lose and lose BIG!

It's the only way they can say their coach coached in the playoffs

Apples and oranges. Alabama is not Georgia’s rival like it is for UT.
But nice question dodge. I assume you would have been fine with Kirby helping Florida or Georgia Tech win a National Championship while your program was coachless.

Pruitt is a former Alabama player, why do people think he would just abandon Alabama?
Posted on 12/8/17 at 12:13 pm to AUX3
It is fricking ridiculous. He should be spending his time on the Vols. fricking cucks.
Posted on 12/8/17 at 12:57 pm to AUX3
Because Pruitt wanted to and he made that a stipulation. Tennessee couldn't afford to be turned down again. Looks like Pruitt is assembling a good staff, is out there recruiting until the dead period, then focusing on bama. I just hope tosh and saban are already getting a head start on game prep for Clemson

I find it rather funny that the Vols fans in here are perfectly ok with Pruitt coaching through the playoffs, but it's the butthurt barners that are bitching and moaning.
Little bro gonna little bro I guess.
