Why is Treadwell an NFL failure?

I really thought that dude would’ve been the next MikevWallace

It was pretty easy to project that Treadwell was going to be a bust. Treadwell only averaged 11.8 yards per reception during his college career. College possession receivers with low yards per catch numbers rarely do anything in the NFL.

Too slow at pro level

Because he can't catch a football.

Pretty sure his 40 was 4.72 at the combine. He can't separate from NFL defensive backs

No, it's because he drops too many balls.

lol because he has hands of stone. Or you can say he has butter fingers. He can't catch a cold.

Didn't see tonight's game, so if he had drops that is new...has always been reliable receiving..I've read his lack of route running discipline has been the issue...but his stats this year probably surpass everything he has done the past 2 years

Mike Wallace is a burner. In his prime he could run past anyone college or pro so he transitioned very easily. Treadwell was excellent at short routes where his physicality overwhelmed inferior talent on 50/50 balls. NFL corners can match that so he is having to adjust his game and really learn the nuances of the position fully to start to be successful.

Treadwell didn’t run at the combine.
This is the first year he’s had a QB willing to throw it to him and not just check down. Not sure where the drops are coming from. He didn’t drop passes in college.

Considering his first year was only 1 catch for 15 yards, that's not a huge stretch; especially when the 2nd year was still just 20 catches for 200 yards.

Jarvis Landry was even slower and smaller. Being able to run good routes makes a huge difference.

I don’t remember him not being able to catch the ball at Ole Miss
