No. He dropped a wide open, on the numbers, five yard pass for a first down the Vikings needed in the Green Bay game. Then, he muffed another on the numbers pass right into the hands of the Packers defense on a drive to win the game, Pack got three points out of it, and the Vikings had to score a TD and go for a 2pt conversion just to take it into over time. Then he dropped another one in overtime.

He couldn't put the playbook together in year one and then he got hurt in year two. He's a 1st rounder, in his third year, and he caught his first NFL touchdown only two weeks ago. What?

He's fifty fifty at best at catching a ball

He has not be a reliable receiver. Watch Diggs, watch thielen, watch Rudolph, those are guys who aren't first rounders that get thrown to in the clutch.

I sat next to Quon on a flight to PHX in ~ January. He watched 2 plays of film on his team ipad then fell asleep. When we landed he woke up, got his team ipad out once more and watched one play of practice film and then started scrolling instagram.

He certainly wanted everyone on the plane to know he was a viking, but didn't want to talk to anyone.

He also had beats by dre with fake diamond bedazzling that was over half gone, and he smelled awful.

He was shorter than I thought he'd be, definitely not 6'3 (I'm 6'3)

All in all it was a very poor flying experience and thankfully the window seat was a very small young lady so I had some stretch room.

I don't think he's bought in mentally. Being good in the NFL means constant attention to detail and persistence. Treadwell may never put in the effort it takes to get there. I hope he does because he seemed a lot more engaged in college.

This is the correct answer. He just doesn't seem to care. He also truly sucks at running a precise route

At OM we were told he was the most “NFL Ready” going into the draft

Are we talking about the same Treadwell that did pretty good last night?

My hope is that the Vikings release, he gets a fresh start and really commits.

into the draft

And then he got paid. He's been working his whole life to sign that contract. When money is the motivation it can be hard to keep pushing after getting rich over night.

He is one of those guys that is good at everything, but great at nothing.

He's particularly weak as a route runner, and has been the subject of constant miscommunication with Vikings QBs when the WR is expected to make a sight adjustment based on the coverage they both see coming out of the huddle.

He's finally picking up the playbook, and his blocking effort is better, so he's getting more time this year. There's a bump in his productivity accordingly, but it isn't where it should be.

Treadwell caught 4 of his 7 targets for 47 yards last night. Also, he is playing behind two great receivers (Diggs and Thielen) and a good pass catching tight end (Rudolph). Tread is fine.

He did pretty good given his limited role in the offense. It’s too early to know his ceiling, but even if it wasn’t, if Treadwell maintained WR3 status for the rest of his career, that doesn’t make him a “failure.” This thread reminds me of an Arky poster being so quick to label Gurley a “bust” after his second season.

Yes. IDK what the hell people are calling him a failure for. He is a freaking starter in the NFL. That is not a failure

They are shopping him. Trying to boost his limited value to get some ROI since they wasted a 1st on him.

Treadwell is only a failure by 1st round measures. If he were drafted in the 3rd round where I thought he should have been drafted then he wouldn't be a failure he would be a expected ROI.
