It was recently treated, it’s supposed to reduce the amount of heat the turf absorbs. 150 heat index on the field for the Texas State game was insane. My guess is they go back to grass soon.

Some pretty ****** up shite going around on this forum, but WAY crazier racist stuff on social media (few bots for sure ) but sadly a small percentage. Small-minded people feel secure enough to say some pretty ****** up shite they would never dare say in front of a real person bc it’s getting normalized online. Mainly, they’re idiots, worse yet cowards
Those kids captured in a few screen shots from Texas’ game are the actual badasses. They have been called some vile things.
Meanwhile, in real life….
-they’ve done nothing but work their arse off to get where they’re at (it is NOT easy to get accepted to the schools at Texas they are getting their degrees in). They are on other side of that for first time in their lives… later on will be professional elites
-to get the seats they’ve got, means they got there EARLY. They stood in line for better part of a day in a sweltering Texas sun for those seats
-They are seated together bc they are bros, they have community duh. They have been singled out bc people with an agenda have a narrative they want to push
-They are passionate AF obviously about their school and the expereince … but also to the point they are dressed the part
People owe those kids a serious apology. They should be celebrated for being great fans and their choices to assimilate to American culture. Instead it’s been a nightmare of bigot behavior
I can also PROMISE you that this stuff is being seen and absorbed by recruits and their parents

A lot of dumb people in here acting like they aren't ancestors of immigrants (probably all of us)

UT Austin has a 10 top computer science program (it is also the biggest program at the university), top 15 math program, top 10 engineering school.
Texas has 570k Indian residents (Houston has a huge Indian population) + the other Asian immigrants that moved here + top 5% of hs graduating class autoadmit, you're probably going to have a huge Asian population at your university.

The analogy would be people like you telling the Comanches and apaches they have no claim to fight for their their land and cultural inheritance because they took it by right of conquest from another tribe (which they did.) So they should’ve just welcomed us in instead of resisting right?
