Why is Saban so scared of his players knowing their draft status?

It makes no sense. Every top team has to deal with the process. It didn't stop Urban or OSU from waxing his arse when Cardale was getting draft buzz. It's just another excuse when his team wilts under pressure, again. I can't wait to hear his newest excuse for not being able to motivate his players for a CFP title.

U do realize that a lot of coaches including daubo agree with him. It is one distraction that you would like to take away from the kids. Say I am at work today and I know I just got offered a great job yesterday that will double my salary. Do you think I am going to be motivated to work my best as I work out a two week notice. I realize it is not quite the same but there are some similiaries to it. There have been some kids whose families reached out to agents once they knew they were first round kids, and that is before the game was played.
