To keep him from following Lane.

It was pretty elite last year, something like #4 in FEI rankings.
Not so much this year, fell to the 50's.

34th highest paid coach in the country. And it’s 6.8 million. He is also making less than Texas is paying Arch. The rant is out of touch with modern coaching salaries it seems.
Why is the most prestigious football program with the best head coach only paying 34th? Need a dollar?

The real question is why is LSU paying a guy that has only won the CUSA title 13M?

Supply and demand.
Other major programs were pursuing Kiffin and were willing to pay that amount.

6.8M minus 2.6M he was making as DC. So really just paying him 4M more to be the HC. New DC and OC are making 2M combined. So overall Ole Miss is saving like $10M+ on coaching salaries.

He probably would have taken it for the same pay, a Bud Light and some car keys
I happen to agree with you but also frick off we do what we want

He was already making like 3.5 million.

Lane at OM before Golding 23-13.
Lane with Golding at OM 32-6.
