Because nobody but the Bammers puts them on that level. Half empty stadiums, opt outs and a championship game against a 6 win team. Everyone would just assume forget 2020 anyway

Those qb comparison stats demonstrate just how reliant lsu was on burrow that season. He carried that team....IU much more complete team that could beat you more ways than one. Unlike LSU 2019

I mean...they won a national championship so by definition they are elite.
There isn't another fan base on the planet who white knights for a team quite like LSU fans and their 2019 roster. All that matters to me is that 2020 Alabama won the program a national championship. Do I like to troll LSU fans when comparing the two? Sure. But I'm not invested in proving that 2020 Alabama was tGOAT team quite like LSU fans are with their 2019 squad. Such things are debatable. What isn't debatable is that Alabama is historically the greatest college football program of all-time. Which matters to me more than the success or failure of individual teams at the end of the day.
