Why is Gurley consistently ranked ahead of T.J. Yeldon?

Stats through two years:
Yeldon:
2343 yds.
26 TD's
383 carries
6.1 YPC
8 Fumbles
Gurley:
2374 yds.
27 TD
387 carries
6.1 YPC
3 Fumbles
Is it just the fumbles?? Everything else looks pretty much the same to me.

The offensive lines haven't been the same. Have to be honest on that one.

Fumbles at VERY wrong times and he doesn't have very good breakaway speed. Solid back nevertheless.

Because Gurley is ahead in all but one, and tied in the other, of all the statistics you posted.

looks like Gurley has more yards and touchdowns with less fumbles and the same YPC.
Yeldon doesn't get hurt as much as Gurley. I think the injuries give Gurley a mystique

Because Gurley is a freak of nature. Yeldon like RB's come out of HS every year.

Because the Alabama RB myth has been busted. They're a product of the system, not elite players.
Richardson and Ingram were MAJOR, like all time, NFL busts, and whether it's fair or not the media responds to that.

Gurley is running to the. NFL, Yeldon is losing his job to a rb with one game experience.

And Gurley does? I'll bet my account that Yeldon runs a faster 40 than Gurley at the combine.

Because he is better. Glad to settle that for you.

Let's just ignore the NFL rookie of the year, Eddie Lacy.

May be, but their production on the field is no different and in this sport that's what counts.

Yes, the fumbles. Especially at critical parts of the game.
Plus the Georgia Wrs/passing game was decimated by injuries, so everyone knew Gurley was getting the ball.

If Mizzoukills and TigerNMiami could spawn a child together, parkjas would be it.
