At the time of the LSU/AU game, the aubbies had just beaten a top ranked Wash. team handily and their ranking was justly deserved.And the week after their LSU loss they were still ranked in the top 10.Just saying....at the time LSU played them, LSU beat 3 top 10 teams. No one else comes close to that resume'.

Florida has beaten 1 quality opponent and lost to a quality opponent at home by double digits and were out-gained by 94 yards.
LSU has beaten (arguably) 3 quality opponents and lost to 1 quality opponent on the road by single digits and they were out-gained by 19 yards in a game where LSU turnovers where the key.

Which means (pay attention here, Florida fans), the pollsters think the LSU loss to Florida was a fluke. Right or wrong, that is what they are thinking. They realize (as does anyone who watched the game) that that game could have easily been another win for LSU had some very minor things happened.
I give some Florida fans shite on here about the game, but the truth is, Florida played hard. They ended up making the big plays at the right moments. The deserved the win. What I will not agree with is any statement that says Florida is a better team than LSU. They are not. Now it could be that we are very much equal teams but given that that game was that close AT FLORIDA when we made so many mistakes that could have easily been corrected. No, I can not agree that they are a better team at this moment.
We will know more as the season plays out. If we handle State easily this weekend, that is another check mark to put in the column of LSU>Florida. If we lose, it’s a check mark for Florida>LSU.

Florida has an opportunity to beat Georgia for ranking purposes.

Rankings are rankings.
UK should be hire as should UF.
LSU has faced a tougher overall schedule though so it is what it is. The bigger issue I had is Georgia still ranked higher despite having zero strong wind and a terrible beatdown as their loss.
If we beat Georgia though..we should be above LSU. So hopefully it works itself out

Worst case was back when Fla State lost to Miami on a field goal, both teams finished with 1 loss. And Fla State played for the BCS title because "their loss was better" (Miami lost to #15 Washington).
I agree that if 2 teams finish with the same record, the team that wins head-to-head should be ahead of the other team. Luckily for Florida, they have the opportunity to rectify the situation. If both teams win out, they will most likely play in Atlanta, and settle this.
*this assumes that Kentucky doesn't also win out, which would put the 'Cats in as the East champ. If Kentucky does come in at 11-1 also, I would think the rankings would be SEC Champ 1, then likely 11-1 Alabama 2, then Fla 3, then SEC loser 4.

their best win is ranked higher than your best win currently, so technically they have they better resume. Your other supposed good wins both fell out of the top 25
You realize how dumb that sounds? So then if LSU was ranked lower where they “should” be according to you, Florida’s best win (LSU) would then be lower than LSU’s best win (UGA) meaning LSU had the better resume— meaning they(LSU) should be higher in the rankings. You could do that forever using that logic.

I don't care right now. I care if UF beats Georgia. We should be ahead of LSU at that point. We have the head to head with two best wins both Georgia and State at that point adding in UF has the win to LSU as well. Our Tenn win is also better than their Auburn win. Considering Tenn beat Auburn. It will work out in the end. UF just needs to do what we usually do. Win in Jacksonville.
