Also, LSU's loss is better. An 8 point loss on the road to a 5-1 Florida team is better than an 11 point loss at home to a 5-1 Kentucky team.

And we're entering the point in the season where fans and pollsters start splitting hairs over quality of losses and wins.

Every. Single. Week.

You might as well request a sticky topic that says “LSU won because ______ is overrated.”

Saturday around 9pm CT you can insert CowbellU in the blank

Florida is very much improved over last year. That much said, LSU has beaten 3 teams that were ranked in the Top 10 at the time they played them. Florida can't say that

Because the nation understands that Florida's win was a fluke.

If you actually watched the game, it was closer than what the score would suggest. LSU had plenty of opportunities to win the game, but Florida was the better team that day.

Are they wrong, though? The Miami and Auburn wins don't look like anything special at all right now. On paper, the Miami and Auburn wins look no better than the Ole Miss win.

We'll see, won't we?

I've thought for a while now that AU today is not the same AU at the beginning of the season. I think the LSU loss sent them into a tailspin. It was a bad loss after they scored 21 unanswered to take full control in the third, but lost anyway. Some teams don't recover from losses like that.

If AU wins the LSU game, I think they are undefeated right now.

If you want Florida ranked ahead of LSU, that means you want Kentucky ranked ahead of Florida, LSU, and Georgia.

Kentucky made Florida look bad. Same logic, right?

I agree with all this. My point was only that today, the Auburn (4-3) and Miami (5-2 with a 1 point win over a dreadful FSU team) do not look impressive at all.

I think Auburn is totally broken now. It doesn't really matter what they do from here on out. Losing to Tennessee made it impossible for that to ever look like a great win for us.

As for Miami, they can still win the rest of their games and get back in the top 15. And who knows, maybe Virginia runs the table and that loss doesn't look so bad for Miami later in the year.

Florida has a better chance of beating Georgia than
LSU has of beating Bama. Reality is tough!

I don't think so. No matter what UF does to Georgia, they will not be ranked higher than LSU. Not saying they won't deserve it, but just saying that's what will happen. LSU has that perception. Amiright?
