I faked an injury in the beer line Saturday...didn't get me more than the 2 beer maximum, so not effective.

Because they know it's a scumbag thing to do and no one wants to admit that they're a scumbag.

HUNH is a sham and an embarrassment to the game of football. Defenses have been handcuffed the last 10 years with offense side of the ball getting more sissy. Faking an injury is only fair. Now if they start calling targeting on Running backs and WRs that duck their head and ram defensive players then maybe defenses faking injuries might bother me a little more.

ALSO busch league is WRs pretending they got held or pushed to draw a PI call.

Punters doing the same shite, too = unsportsmanlike conduct, but nooooooo gotta protect the one guy that doesn't ever get hit.

Let's drop all the emperor's new clothes bullshite then.

It's completely rampant. Seems like there need to be rule changes if everyone is so butthurt about it or talking about it.

Take the judgement out of it.

If you go down due to injury and can not get off the field quickly then you should not be permitted back in the game for the the current defensive series or the next one.

We need to make sure the players are safe and not hurt.

It may sound extreme but I am passionate about it. We had a linebacker who almost suffered a career ending injury during the Arkansas game a few years back.

I'd rather fix the NCAA and all the actual cheating first.

This all sounds great until someone loses their QB (or insert stud for team) for a play due to getting the wind knocked out of them or something and then can't put them back in until their next possession.

I said just defense, not offense.

Unlikely to be able to make unilateral ruling on one side of the ball like that. Even if you did, see "or insert stud for team"... Imagine UGA losing Roquan Smith in 2017 for an entire series because he went down with a minor nuisance issue... or LSU with Devin White.

The unintended consequences of your proposed rule would vastly outweigh the number of times it stops the original offense. No real reason to not handle it similar to targeting call downs from the review booth if anyone cares to do anything at all.

No one should do it. It’s fricking bush league. I’ve never seen two fakes in a single game as bad as from ND last weekend.

Well, pretty sure LSU set a new NCAA record with ~13 "cramps" in the Texas game on defense. Texas did not have any. So, looks like sombody is really out of shape!?

The defense essentially gets to see what play the offense is going to package up for then sub out accordingly. The old Madden Cheat where you saw your opponents 3 plays and called your d accordingly...

The offense is the most heavily restricted side of the ball when it comes to pre snap and its about 50/50 post snap

Ohio State is a cleaner program than Georgia will ever be.

Faking an injury to slow it down should be a delay of game penalty. The problem is figuring out who is faking and who is cramping up/actually hurt. I think the best indicator they can use is someone who is walking around after a play then falls down. That's almost always faking it to slow down pace.

Either that or say if someone comes out with injury on defense they are not allowed back in until change of possession.

Your first sentence is most important, and, again, I think what should be paramount is player health. It is the thing that matters most long-term for the sport.

That said, I went back and watched the replay of the two incidents that we had with UGA on Saturday night.

1. Owusu-Koramoah was definitely hurt. He had gotten knocked silly on the play before he actually went down then spent the next play just fort of wandering around aimlessly before Gilman noticed him and told him to get down. He actually underwent concussion protocol.

2. On Bilal, I am not so sure. I think that one was probably gamesmanship.
