People have faked on us too hombre. I just don't care when they do it. I get the offense handicaps the defense with it, and so it's a way for the defense to answer that. The whole system is designed for offense now it seems, so something that can back door help defense a little I'm cool with.

What's worse, faking cramps or lying about a lack of locker room AC to account for them?

I'll go with the latter.

In the NCAA football rule book it specifically states that “feigning injury” is “unethical.”

Their words not mine.

Easy fix: “if a player requires on field injury timeout, that player is not allowed to return to the game until a change of possession occurs.”
