AU/UGA also stood in the way of a true rotation but you guys never bitch about that one; always TSIO. Must be the seething inferiority complex that makes you focus so much on Bama
only one school has ever voted against the permanents...

Well, I can think of one. But he comes and goes. Seems to get banned, but shows up again.

because the rest of the conference has to have a cross divisional opponent because alabama and tennesee have to play each other or the world ends. So you rarely get to play each team from the other divison
That’s not the only one in the way of getting rid of the perm cross division rival
You also have AUB/UGA and LSU/UF and if you get rid of all these you might as well go watch the NFL

I get the Iron bowl, the egg bowl, and even auburn/Georgia. but you don't get to keep another one which is not a rivalry when one team wins 14 in a row. And why do Tennessee fans not seem to complain about it? do you enjoy getting embarrassed every year.
What SEC teams have the most wins over Alabama??? Here...I'll rank them for you.
1. Tennessee - 37
2. Auburn - 37
3. LSU - 26
4. Georgia - 25
5. Mississippi State - 17
Ranking Tennessee above Auburn...because Tennessee has 8 ties with Bama, where Auburn only has 1.

If someone needs an explanation as to what makes Tennessee/Alabama a rivalry they're a waste a time. They're also ten years old.

They can acknowledge their lumps.

Why do others fans care about Tennessee and Alabama rivalry so much? Those guys were kicking our asses not too long ago. Plus it's the closer thing to hate between two school.
Funny thing. I went to both the OU/Bama game in Tuscaloosa and the OU/Tenn game in Knoxville.
Both fan bases told me how rude and obnoxious the other was. I found them both to be pleasant and great hosts but I recognize they both see a very different side of the other.
As a side note, in our case we say Texas fans are obnoxious but I think most of the country actually gets it.
As for the game, I remember epic Bama/Tenn games from the '90s with Manning. Those will be back someday.

How far do you want to go back? Once upon a time, both sides were very respectful I've sat in Neyland Stadium enough to know exactly what I'm talking about. The only incident I remember was my brother-in-law being very obnoxious leaving Neyland in 1990. Philip Doyle just broke the vols heart and frankly I had to calm him down with his upclose facials so we could get to the car. Even then, good times.
The series changed after Fulmer, make no mistake. This historic series was poisoned on both sides by that backstabbing SOB.

The rivalry is boring to anyone who is not a UT/BAMA fan.

It’s easy to understand the egg bowl and not get why the annual rent a win for Alabama is worth saving.
Lol, Alabama's annual "rent-a-win" is 20-10 all time against LSU and, prior to Nick Saban, trailed Alabama by just five games in the all-time series (43-37-7).

No skin in the game but the answer is tradition. Too many people are just willing to throw the traditions that make College Football great out the window.
I agree. The SEC isn’t helping anything by imploding other conferences because they are the mistress of Communist ESPN.

Vols aren't whining, bitching, moaning complainers. You ever see them bitch about their schedule? You ever hear them complain non-stop about the refs, the SEC offices in B'ham, over signing, the REC, or cross-division rivalries?
and not only that the Vols love the rivalry as much as Bama fans. I mean I certainly didnt want the TSIO to end when we lost 7 in a row or the Iron Bowl when we lost 6 in a row. I wanted to keep playing till we beat them which is the mindset of Tennessee fans now. Sorry you cant appreciate it

but you don't get to dictate the conference schedule because you have another one where you win 14 in a row and smoke cigars like you accomplished something. So everyone else has abide by your rivalry
There are 14 votes in the SEC. Bama gets one. They put ending the permanent cross divisions to a vote and it got voted down and if I remember correctly only three schools voted for it.

Tennessee has always recruited nationally. We were on National TV consistently back when every game wasn’t televised.
Yeah and all of that has changed. That’s why it’s harder now, yes I know you’re used to recruiting nationally, but a lot of others are now too
