I get the Iron bowl, the egg bowl, and even auburn/Georgia. but you don't get to keep another one which is not a rivalry when one team wins 14 in a row. And why do Tennessee fans not seem to complain about it? do you enjoy getting embarrassed every year.

Funny how this question didn't come up from 1995-2004 when Tennessee was dominating the series

If you "get" the Egg Bowl but not the Third Saturday in October, you have a moral duty to return your HiSET/GED to whatever parish awarded it as it was clearly given erroneously.

What's the cut off for a rivalry?

I mean how many do you have to lose in a row before it's official, in your eyes?

This is why I respect Bama fans.

They can acknowledge their lumps.

Vols aren't whining, bitching, moaning complainers. You ever see them bitch about their schedule? You ever hear them complain non-stop about the refs, the SEC offices in B'ham, over signing, the REC, or cross-division rivalries?

I would say it has more to do with support levels / facilities

one like this would only go away if one of the teams no longer had major support and facilities

Is Michigan vs Ohio State a rivalry in your eyes?

Why do others fans care about Tennessee and Alabama rivalry so much? Those guys were kicking our asses not too long ago. Plus it's the closer thing to hate between two school.

No skin in the game but the answer is tradition. Too many people are just willing to throw the traditions that make College Football great out the window.

because the rest of the conference has to have a cross divisional opponent because alabama and tennesee have to play each other or the world ends. So you rarely get to play each team from the other divison

If you have to ask...then you know nothing about college football.

OP is possibly a Texas fan.

They switch conferences so often that they may not have a concept of tradition.

Because rivalries are part of what makes College Football unique.

Pretty sure it's just another LSU fan crying once again about their schedule .

If any fan base should gripe about their schedule it should be the Vols, and yet they embrace playing Bama every year. The coonasses should really take a page from the Vols on how to not look like a bunch of sobbing vaginas.
