I think all defensive minded coaches are risk aversive and honestly with that defense why do you need to take chances?

What do the playoffs have to do with regular season OoC games? lol not sure why you won’t admit Bama’s OoC slate has been lacking lately.

They played #3 in 2017 and #20 in 2016 who finished #3. That's 2 games which is as much as anyone else has been doing and they are blowing these teams out.
Bama has played something like 6 ranked ooc teams in the opener since 2008. What other program has done that? What more can you ask for?

How many times have you seen CNS get worked over by HUNH O's in the last 7-8 years...Even the GOAT said in 2014 " If I cant stop them I have to outscore them.

UGA was supposed to have the best D in CFB last year and gave up 5 Tds to UA

Perhaps a home and home with somebody other than Duke?

BTW.Do you actually have a team you root for or do you just get on here to troll UGA and Kirby?

No, they didn’t. FSU didn’t finish ranked in the top 25, let alone in the top 3

2016 who finished #3

I’ve already mentioned this. The point is zero ranked OoC opponents since 2016 is a long time.

The subject is recent OoC games. 2008 is not recent.

Off the top of my head UGA, auburn, and a&m have all played at least 2 top 15 OoC games since 2017.

I don’t know why you’re getting so defensive over this. Bama’s OoC schedule has been lacking lately and most bama fans have no issue admitting this. Bama does have OSU scheduled way down the road as well as Wisconsin, so it’ll get better. If Texas makes the move to the SEC next year, that’ll free up a slot as well.

FSU was ranked #3. Not Bama's fault what happens after they beat them. Alabama has played many ooc ranked teams to start the season. More than any other program in recent times. Just blew out a ranked Miami. Again, what other programs have been playing in these types of games more than Bama in the last 10 years?

FSU

Did not finish the season ranked. I’m not sure why you aren’t getting this. USC finished number 3 in 2016, so 2016 was the year bama got an OoC win over the number 3 team.

No, not even close. I just listed multiple teams that have had 2 games like this since bama has had 1. UGA’s had 3 ranked OoC opponent since bama played 1.

You already tried thus with the 2017 FSU game. Its ok to admit that WR isnt a strength for UGA

I don't know. Why don't you count them up and let us know.

And, why do you care?

So we've gone from why doesn't Alabama play ranked ooc teams in openers to Alabama doesn't play ooc openers vs teams that finished ranked?

Alabama has had how many neutral site openers vs ranked teams in the Saban era? 6? 7? What other program has the same or more in that time frame?

The 3 other 1st round Wr's I mentioned wasnt enough for you ? You said imagine no Ridley

Its ok to admit that the 2021 UGA O isnt going to be what you hoped it would. Other than RB there are issues everywhere else.

lol this is getting ridiculous. Openers was never a qualifier. It’s just ranked OoC games. Generally ppl use the end of the year rankings because teams like FSU might come in preseason number 2 and not finish top 25. I’ve already said it’s not Bama’s fault FSU fell apart, but it doesn’t magically make FSU a quality opponent either. I also specifically said recently, so I’m not sure why you keep wanting to go back to 2008, unless it’s because you know Bama’s had a lack of decent OoC games recently.

OK so how many other programs have played (and beat) more ranked ooc opponents period since Nick Saban has been at Alabama.

Seems the playoffs fit this criteria does it not? Let me guess....only the regular season counts? Right?

So bama only had 96 passing yards with 4 first round picks? That’s terrible.

Now imagine none of the other 3. 26 yards?

Why move the goal posts? Is it that big of a deal someone pointed out Bama’s refusal to play quality OoC teams recently?

It does when we’re specifically talking about regular season games against OoC opponents. Bama would most likely have smashed any quality OoC opponent. For whatever reason they just didn’t schedule any good teams.

Alabama has played as hard of a schedule as anyone lately from top to bottom. Is it somehow your position that they have an easy schedule every year? It's really bizarre.
