We’re clearly talking about separate things. Anyway, I know I’d end up more impressed over that Miami win if Miami ends up finishing the season top 10. Just like I’d be less impressed with the Clemson win if clemson stumbles to a 7-5 season.
Miami and Clemson can both go 1-11 and if Alabama or Georgia take care of business they will be in the playoffs. It's that simple. It matters not what Clemson and Miami do the rest of the way. You can't control what a team does after you beat them which is why this is so baffling. 13-0 or 12-1 SEC champion Alabama or Georgia is in the playoff.

I never said either win would hurt one of their playoff chances. I’m just talking about how the win will be perceived. A win over a top 10 OoC team can absolutely boost a resume. Should bama or UGA be a 1 loss non conference champ, they’ll want as many quality wins as possible to get in over someone else. It’s never a slam dunk that a 1 loss non conference champ sec team gets in.

Were did I say an ACC team would have won the SEC?
I think when you said the SEC east was about the same as the ACC Coastal division?
Do you really think the Coastal lower teams are any better than the lower tiers of the East? I mean we know the better east teams are better than the Coastal division, right? can we at least agree on that?
quote:So you are going to base it off one game? Seriously? You don't see the fallacy of that at all?
We have the data point of Mark Richt's Miami Team destroying the same ND team Georgia had a struggle win against in 2017......

A 1 loss SEC Champion is in the playoffs no matter what Miami, Clemson, or any other team does. Again, that is why this is so baffling about making such a big deal out of where a team is ranked after you blow them out.

You asked so I answered. Nowhere did I say 2017 Miami would win the SEC. You seem to be having a hard time understanding this. I was simply comparing the ineptitude and awfulness of the divisions. Nowhere did I say any ACC Coastal team would actually win the SEC.

Of course this guy believes in transitive property in football. As expected

He specifically talked about a team that doesn’t win a conference.

I specifically mentioned a 1 loss non conference champ, but ok. Obviously sec champ is in. A 1 loss non conference champ with a good resume has a shot, which is why you want quality wins.

His QB just beat #3....not in grand fashion mind you....but they just whipped the #3 team in the country.
They got a schedule to play but on paper only Bama is better.....wtf do you want?

I have no problem with you answering. I do have a problem with your logic.

Not just that year. Pick a year in the last 5 in which you think the Coastal Champs were better than the East champs. Or even the top 2-3. I didn't mean the East was better in 2017. I meant if not every year, then certainly most years the East champions...yes, even the east division is stronger than the Coastal Division. My problem is you picked one single game to try to make your point, and I'm pretty sure that does not make your point.
quote:And yet, there was one year that the east had a better head to head record over the west. Says a lot more about the west than it does the east, wouldn't you say? I mean, if the east is inept and awful.
I was simply comparing the ineptitude and awfulness of the divisions.

So....prove your point and pick the year in the 5 year period in which the Coastal has been better than the east. THAT is what you said.

All this shite talking is gonna make it that much sweeter when we pound Bama into the sand in the SECCG.

His QB just beat #3
JTD contributed 3 points and threw a INT. If anything his lack of execution and his inability to move the chains and convert 3rd downs 7/15 kept Clemson in the game

The UGA D did whip the Clemson O, but i bet that is one of the worst OL's UGA sees all year

Its ok to admit that WR isnt a strength for UGA
It’s okay to admit you don’t understand how this contributes to passing game struggles.

Its year 6 and as well as Kirby has recruited why isnt that WR room deeper ? Are there not any TRF WRs that are ready ?

No wr room is deep enough to handle that many injuries in game 1 of a season. Imagine none of those wrs playing vs FSU in 2017. More than zero yards passing? What ya think?

Oh so you just want me to eliminate the 1st round Wr's....They could have produced the same amount of passing yards with NFL guys like TE Irv Smith and Wrs Rob Foster and Cam Sims.

THAT is what you said.
That isn’t what I said. I said the SEC East might as well be the ACC Coastal division meaning they are on par with each other in their awfulness. Nowhere did I ever say any ACC team would win the SEC. I made a comparison. Do you understand what that means? That doesn’t mean I am predicting one over the other. They are on the same level in awfulness.

Y’all had 96 yards passing with 7 nfl guys in year 11?! Holy shite. Now imagine irv smith is out too. If you are smart, you can Admit that it would have made things even harder.

Ricks, you have to start backing the BS you spew up with some facts:
1. The sec east 2002-2005 vs sec east 2017-2020.
2. The acc coastal 2017-2020 vs sec east 2017-2020.
Prove it boy wonder.
