Why do you think the Big 12 couldn't survive without A&M?

I'm really sorry to see schools like Baylor and Tech and TCU hurt by the recognition of Texas and OU that they need the SEC to flourish. I had hoped that two blue bloods like them could keep the Big 12 viable without us, but I guess that was asking too much.
