I think it is amazing to have a fan base so insecure. I mean they have a great win first game and go on the attack on this board. They are dying for attention, please look at me and get offended when no one does.
I have never seen a fan base of a program feel so left out. The little brother syndrome does not even begin to define how they act. They could win the NC this year and still feel slighted.

I just love describing the typical Bama fan to those unfamiliar with that species. Consider me the Jane Goodall of the Alabama toothless nation. I have lived amongst them and have learn their habits.

It is a case of opportunity vs newsworthy CF discussions. There are so many Bama “look at me “ posts that need response to, that the others posts get diluted by shear numbers.

I don't think there is much general hate for Auburn. There is a lot of Ohio State, Notre Dame and Alabama hate... not so much Auburn.
I liked the Tuberville teams... very gritty fun to watch teams. I did have hate for teams under Chizik… they seemed pretty dirty. I still remember when our QB Kyle Parker was speared by one of your DTs and we lost in overtime the year that Auburn won the National Championship. Parker had a wide open TE to win the game, but he short armed it after your DT fractured his ribs.
It's tough to hate on Auburn these days... they get the unfortunate position of being an instate rival with what is probably the most dominant college football run of all time. Their coach goes between moments of brilliance and Whirlybird crazy... I can't hate on a program that is one minute at the cusp of playing for a national championship, and in the next minute watching their rival win another natty.

I was at the Ole Miss Auburn game when Auburn safety broke Treadwell’s leg on a dirty close line tackle - lots of pissed off Rebels that night.

Again I do not think hate as much as just easy to make fun of. They really have no identity and it bothers them, especially right now that matter how good of a team they may have they will always be looked at as the 2nd best program in the state. So they have developed this superiority-inferiority complex.
I understand look at last year as they maybe played the best regular season of any team including beating their rival to only have everything they did basically ignored and their rival go on to win the NC. No different in 2004 when they deserved to be in the BCS. But their insecurity kicks in and they attack everyone as they feel the whole world is against them and so everybody makes fun on them or maybe hates them.

Ohio State fans for me are the worst I have come across and I lived on both ends of the country and have had to listen to their feelings on entitlement. ND I would love have angst against them but can not do it because of Rudy. Just watched last night with my sons.
