The SEC has no authority to autonomously create an appeal process to an NCAA rule which this is. By rule - if the game has replay then the replay official is the appeal and that decision is final.

I seriously doubt the SEC is beholden to a call they make if it turns out to be egregiously wrong.

I'm not saying it's the case here or anything will come from this, but what would happen if a ruling is made like this, and it turns out they called it on the wrong player? You think they'd say "sorry, he's out" if evidence of the error is clear?

well it wouldn’t have survived the mandatory video review obviously.

in this case it did.

Why, because I have common sense? Mfkr, I was there when Stovall was HC, when we hired Arnsparger, I was there when Archer was HC, I was there when Ensminger was the fkn QB, I was in the friggin stands in '92 when Curly fkn Hallman had us 2-9 lost at HOME to Colorado State. I was there when DiNardo brought in Lou Tepper as DC, I was there when Saban was hired 4 yrs after he lost to DiNardo in the Independence Bowl. I'm willing to bet $$$ you don't know who half the ppl I just mentioned are. I've been an LSU fan for 30+ yrs and stayed with them in the absolute worst time in their history. I bet you didn't even know who LSU was before 2000. I'm all LSU, mfkr, I'm just not a conspiracy theory dumbass who bleeds all over a fkn message board.

Then I question your sanity. If you, like me, have been around for all that, then you know the fix is in. Not like it's anywhere near the first time bama gets a break at lsu's expense. Patrick Peterson 2009 says hi

You're the last guy to talk about rules when Mack Wilson clearly targeted the UT QB in knocking him out of the game yet he remained and wasn't penalized, motherfricker

Been a rabid fan since 1974. If you haven't seen Bama bias after watching that many years then you are simply blind. But it is what it is.

Idiot.

Oblivious twit

Bama breaks Tennessee QB's collarbone with crown-of-helmet target shot... NO FLAG!!!

White shoves MS QB and he's ejected

SEC officiating isn't biased? LOL -doesn't pass the giggle test

There's a huge step between Bama bias and fixing games so Bama wins. Obviously Bama gets some calls that go their way, I'll never dispute that. PP7 is the best example there is. I've seen no calls on obvious holding, ball spots that have moved a full yard, etc. But to try and claim this as anything to do with Bama is asinine. If you've been a fan that long then we've seen both the ups and downs of over the years but this, this isn't anything but a shitty call. Period

Might as well blame it on Bama in the two weeks leading up though. Spice things up a bit.

Vegas doesn't wait to prove HOW players cheat. If players beat the odds 3 or 4 times in session, they put a camera on them. If players defy the odds 10 or 12 times in a visit, they're escorted out and told not to come back. They don't care if the casino has smoking-gun evidence.

These calls the continually benefit Bama are countless. You'd have to be brain-dead to believe this is not going on.

The PP7 call was complete shite, but that was an in game situation. Some of you are actually claiming that there is conspiring forces acting to knock a players playing time out of a future matchup with another team. That is absolutely ludicrous. It is what it is, a shitty call, that's it. To claim otherwise is asinine. Do you really think that that Alabama team needs to get DW out for a half for them to win? The answer is no. This should be a good game but my honest opinion is Bama wins by ~10-14. I hope I'm wrong but that's what my gut says

A side nite; usually when I'm sure we will lose we end up winning so I don't mind at all when I'm wrong on these games.

Nothing ridiculous about my post. Ridiculous is the nonsense Alabama gets away with. If you wish to have an honest conversation let's start there, if not, go bang your drum elsewhere

I like your strawman argument here.
He's not saying it wasn't reviewed at all. He was saying it wasn't reviewed thoroughly and they came to an (obviously) incorrect conclusion, given the history of the targeting calls in the league. Hell, you can even go back and look at the targeting calls from THAT day.

But yeah, make it seem like he said something he didn't and tear that argument down. Easier than arguing the point at hand.
