Looks like finishing ahead of Arkansas has become a LSU tradition. Nice try though. I love how Arkansas FINALLY makes a BCS bowl and doesn't even win and suddenly think they've earned some right to talk down to other teams.

We played on Thursday night and are really confused. Blame it on Mississippi State for agreeing to play on Thursday night.

The perfect example of the difference between LSU and Arky fans is you don't see us still bringing up our victory over Bama last year every 5 minutes (Like Arky always resort too bragging about the LSU win from last year). At the time it was a huge win for the program and was fun to smack talk for a week or two but we got over it pretty quick and moved on. A lot of that I think has to do with the fact that it's not the only thing we have to cling too whenever we get in an argument with them. LSU and Bama fans have a mutual respect that has been in earned with both of our accomplishments over the past 5 years or so. Now those 2 weeks before Nov. 5 will be a whole other story for sure.

Just one comment on this thread. Despite assertions that LSU finished 3rd in the SEC West in 2010, it is more accurate to say that LSU finished tied for second, since it finished with the same record as Arkansas at 6-2. There is no tiebreaker in the event of a tie for teams with the same record of wins and losses except to determine the team that represents the division in the championship game. Head to head results have no significance in the standings except to determine the division representative for the championship game.
The Sugar Bowl was free to pick whichever SEC team it wanted to replace Auburn. They chose, in my view correctly, Arkansas, but Arkansas was not entitled to the selection based on standings in the conference. That decision lay solely within the discretion of the Sugar Bowl Committee.
Bottom line, LSU and Arkansas were tied for 2nd in the West standings in 2010 and LSU was not, in fact, 3rd behind Arkansas.

Hey Bama, now that the Baton Rouge jinx is over, and you only have one Crystal Ball, is life worth living?
