I dunno. Maybe he really did just forget. Or maybe it was a statement. We will probably only be able to speculate, as CC will never make a big deal of it any more than it has already been blown up.

After they realized they forgot to cut them down. Like I said, it was pretty clear in the player interviews that they weren't in on some big conspiracy to not cut them down.
