He asked the Ref if he was lined up…just like most receivers DO!

He was trying to deceive the defense, which is normally fine, but there is a very specific rule which says that you can't "act like you are walking off the field, and then stay in the game"

It's no different than a MLB clapping before the snap trying to draw an offensive penalty. Even if the ref doesn't do anything about it, it's still against the rules.

Effin UTERUS! Can’t stand y’all!!

Do you know why Texas doesn't fall into the Gulf of America?
Because OU fricking sucks!
Go frick yourself. I don't like you either.

Cheaters don't check in with authorized enforcement personnel if the actions they're about to take are illegal even once, much less twice

It's almost like you don't have the reading comprehension skills to understand why your response is ridiculous. Ahhh, that's right, you went to OU. My apologies. I shouldn't have any expectations for a retard that had to attend that school.

No need for OU fans to come on the rant and attempt to justify a perfectly legal play. Quit feeding the Barners appetite. They are whiners. If “if a shoulda coulda woulda then every Saturday woulda be Christmas” was real, then Auburn would have 50 national Championships.

Welcome to the dysfunctional SEC! That play will be talked about around Auburn thanksgiving tables for decades.

Don't worry Bro, Arbuckle has plenty of other plays for your team.

Might want to remind the assistants if they see any Sooner coaches drop a piece of paper on the field before the game to leave it be.

This is one of my favorite Leach stories.. but maybe that is because we won the game despite getting worked in the 1st quarter..

Until OU confirms this with what they actually asked, pure here say. Regardless, nobody is arguing the competency of the crew. In fact, you are making our argument for us.

I haven't changed my argument. So we're in violent agreement that the SEC officiating office has a competency issue, and none of it involves Oklahoma "cheating" correct?

OU has already confirmed the actions they took in checking in with the officiating crew before and during the game to the local media. If that weren't true and we're lying, where is the tweet from the SEC office denying they were consulted about the play in advance?

It doesn't exist, because that's exactly what we did and they can't refute it.

quote:

hat facts would those be? It was a confirmed illegal play that the incompetent refs missed. It is embarrasing that the crew missed it. What am I spinning?

Nah dog. You don't get to whistle past reality.

It was confirmed as a legal play on national television by the SEC referee and everybody, including you, heard him say it. It was only after the game that the SEC office tweeted out that it wasn't legal and contradicted what their own crew said on national television.

Which points to what I said above. This is an SEC officiating competency issue, and nobody else's.

I'm correct.

It’s usually what happens after a team cheats to win a game. Any other questions.

Link to their official statement? Hearsay doesn't count.

I think this play should’ve been considered fine. Otherwise, any time someone trots toward the sideline it could be presumed they’re going out.
That is what I was thinking, if he had RUN there, Auburn fans would be screaming that he ran toward the sideline like he was pretending to sub out. The fact is that the guy on the other side did the SAME thing.

Did he leave the field? Can All Barn count? It's a mystery, except for the first question.

Because they had some damned good teams and won a shite load of games. Also they spent over two generations kicking the shite out of Texas.

I'd argue the whole point of the rule ammendment in '24 and them emphasizing it before the season was to put a focus on making players act in a more deliberate manner. How many times do you see guys start walking off the field once they get a bit past the numbers? Partly because the refs need to be able to tell if they need to get over the ball to hold the snap to let defense sub or not.

Was a badly blown miss by the crew.

Can you show me another play in the last 5 years where an OU wide receiver lined up anywhere close to where this guy lined up?

Smh. I don't know how anyone defends this.
