Saban uses too many binders.

Bama will pay whatever Saban/Dabo ask them to pay assistants, LSU have overpaid for average assistants so this really isn't a wash.
We have had the highest paid coaching staff for multiple years recently. You can't say we won't pay whatever it takes either

This is really a STUPID question, even for the rant. Why did LSU beat Saban's arse in the Independence Bowl when he was coaching Michigan State? After all LSU had Dinardo as a coach. It's called experience and growing as a person!!!Saban became a better coach from Michigan State to LSU. I think he learned a lot from his failures in the NFL as well.

You couldn't afford Jimbo or Herman and decided to pay Ed O 3.5m

And they weren't even on probation. I think a lot of these LSU fans are too young to remember that the reason we sucked from 2000-2007 was because of probation.

You have never heard of the Red Elephant Club. But if you mix the ultimate perfectionist and the one group that can literally get anything done. You get Bamas success. Saban says it and poof it happens no limits. They have the baby bear Bank and can back channel deals so deep the NCAA can’t even sniff em. They will not be out worked by the rule book cuz they know it’s for everyone but them.

will never cease to amaze me at the power of a few rich rednecks from podunk "i'd never live in that shithole" alabama ...

You would have continued to suck if your AD got the coach he wanted in 2007.....

Beat Urban 31-3.

He's just a lot happier in Tuscaloosa than he ever was there.

He left LSU to become an NFL head coaching legend, and he flopped. It gnaws at Saban each and every day that he is not NFL head coach material. So, he stays in lil ol' Tuscaloosa to be the king of the SEC.

I would say perception. He was not established as a big time coach when he got to LSU. He had name recognition when he took the job at Bama.

Why didn't this end the thread?

Yep and some still haven't gotten over it. Every coach is compared to Saban. I don't think that's good logic. Its why a big part of the fan base never gave
Miles credit for being competitive with him until 2014. Its always Saban this and that.

So then LSU admits that Miles won with Saban's players. That has not always been the narrative from LSU posters.

Yeah, I do.

Saban gets a ton of credit now for what he did for LSU, but that hasn't always been the case. Most LSU posters defended the 2007 NC as being entirely Les' production up until November 2015. Any post mentioning that that championship was won with Saban's players was ripped by you guys.

As I noted, that narrative changed with 31, 1.6, and five in a row.

Tiger rant is now also saying Coach O and Saban had similar pasts at the time they were hired by lsu.......
