I believe Mond was just drafted in the 3rd Round. I mean he didn't win a Heisman or anything but it's not like he sucked. He was just a very solid D1 QB that was MVP of the Senior Bowl as well.

Prior to that of course he had 3 QB's that were 1st Round picks at FSU (Winston, Ponder, Manuel).

The biggest problem he had at FSU was they refused to invest in facilities to keep up with Clemson and the SEC and his recruiting was suffering. That's why he eventually left, he knew he was going to always be at a disadvantage in the new era of football.

I mean I guess you can find some way to look for flaws in Jimbo's QB development but when he can pick up the phone and let a recruit talk to one of several QB's that are now millionaires that played for him I don't think that's a wise bet. Knock yourself out though.

Bringing up programs revenues/expenses is an odd look since first, it has nothing to do with this topic at all.

Second, the programs themselves aren't paying the players.

This is the excuse but it doesn't really hold up when you compare it to recruiting rankings.

He actually recruited better at Florida State than he does at Texas A&M when you compare average class ranking.

You’re missing the point.

1. Under certain circumstances, money will absolutely be flowing from the school to the athlete (via loophole mechanisms, etc.). You know this to be true, in fact you already admitted so yourself.

2. The amount of revenue a program can generate is a good indication of overall interest in a program. The amount of overall interest in a program will obviously correlate very closely with the number and $ value of NIL deals.

This shouldn’t have to be explained really.

He's building his program well so far. Even with the 2019 struggles that team improved and still won 8 games despite being the youngest in CFB with the toughest schedule.

A&M needs to win atleast 10 games this season. Maybe they'll do better than that.

A better question is why do you always troll? I mean, like nearly 27,000 posts in 19 months and nearly all are troll posts, mostly about Alabama, but a good lot to A&M fans. I know why A&M. Because Alabama is out of your league and after Fisher won 2 of 3 vs LSU you fear you're about to be 3rd in the division.

But why do you always troll and rarely ever start a thread to actually discuss the game? Is it because you don't know much about the game, or what

Weird thread to post this diatribe in. That QB list is Les Milesesque

Of course he did when you only use rankings. Florida State retook control of the state of Florida when Muschamp crippled Florida, McElwain killed them and Miami was irrelevant.

Once again, I have to teach you how to find relevant stats. You have to compare Florida State vs. Clemson over that span using ACC rankings.

2010: Florida State - 1, Clemson - 4
2011: Florida State - 1, Clemson - 2
2012: Florida State - 1, Clemson - 3
2013: Florida State - 1, Clemson - 3
2014: Florida State - 1, Clemson - 3
2015: Florida State - 1, Clemson - 2
2016: Florida State - 1, Clemson - 2
2017: Florida State - 1, Clemson - 3

Now compare Florida State with SEC programs over that span.

2010: Below Florida, Alabama, Auburn and Tennessee
2011: Below Alabama
2012: Below Alabama and Florida
2013: Below Alabama, Florida, LSU. Ole Miss, Texas A&M and Auburn
2014: Below Alabama and LSU
2015: Below Alabama
2016: Below Alabama and LSU
2017: Below Alabama and Georgia

Now let's look at A&M in the 3 classes before Fisher:

2015 - Below Alabama, Tennessee, LSU, Georgia and Auburn
2016 - Below Alabama, LSU, Ole Miss, Georgia, Auburn, Florida and Tennessee
2017 - Below Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Auburn and Florida

Fisher arrives.

2018 - Below Georgia, Alabama, Auburn, Florida and LSU
2019 - Below Alabama and Georgia
2020 - Below Georgia, Alabama and LSU
2021 - Below Alabama, Georgia and LSU

Well, I guess from a fan standpoint, it's got to be tough watching your first love go to your main adversary and they start dominating you. Then watching your second love stand you up and go to your other SEC main rival and now they too are getting the best of you. The old double whammy. Then, just to add insult to injury, you still have to go home every night with Yosemite Sam. The life of a Cajun just can't be easy these days.

Again, what does this have to do with Jimbo's quarterback evaluation skills?

Well that's what I said

Make excuses for it or justify it however you want, the fact of the matter is that Jimbo's recruiting wasn't suffering at Florida State and he also pulled in higher ranked classes, on average, there than he has at A&M.

Fisher has raised the talent level at A&M high enough that we can realistically talk about the playoffs and championships. It wasn't remotely close before, and it took a generational player to show that (JFF)

King has to be good, not exceptional for A&M to be competitive. IF he is exceptional, then we can start talking championships. BTW, right behind King is Weigman, who is an exceptional talent. We are going to be good for at least the next few years, minimum.

Generational player? Bhwahahahahaha!!!!

Bookmarked.
You should be ashamed to even mention Sark in a sentence with Jimbo, but of course you’re texas.
