Rapoport must be pissed st Saban about something that went down while he was an Alabama beat writer because he sure has made an effort to talk down Alabama players. He was in the forefront of talking down Cyrus Kouandjio. Didn't like the reality show? Have any of them watched?
Manziel ,for example, is cocky. There was a hell of a sideshow around him all the time and there were rumors he was not well liked on his team. That did not seem to hurt him. At the combine Mc Carron had a very good day,made all the throws and generally was praised by all the scouts.
But that's that. He got drafted and now he will get his opportunity.

As much as a I dislike McCarron, I havea very hard time believing his tattoos contributed to him sliding.

The difference is that Manziel is cocky guy who is also super talented. McCarron is a guy who thinks he's Tom Brady when in reality he's physically average QB who cant handle pressure at all (see: every time the OL wasn't able to hold everyone away from him). There is no comparison.

The Combine throwing means next to nothing. No one actually puts serious emphasis in the little passing that the QBs at the Combine do to receivers they've never seen before. The Senior Bowl, however is a more useful test...too bad McCarron didn't attend because he thought he was too good (a huge miscalculation).

I think a big part of it was the way he threw his teammates under the bus and blamed them for them losing. That's not something you want to see from a QB who is supposed to lead and rally your team.

Errrrrrbody is gonna be happy in about 2 weeks.

Why are BAMA fans so butthurt that McCarron was everything most of you claimed he to be.
Put that kid behind an OL with one hole and he completely shits the bed. I've said it for so long but was hassled for that.
He was just blessed with incredible OL his career. The couple of games they lost was because the OL let guys put pressure on him and he sucked my balls.

His pompous attitude and excuse making caught up with him. Heard him on NFL radio after he was finally drafted said he was hurt most of the time he played at Bama. He just needs to shut up!

Damn sure didn't control Barrett Jones. I still think a body slam by Jones late in the Notre Dame game would have done wonders for AJ's attitude and would have been the best thing that could have happeed to AJ to help his draft stock. Amazing how many Bama fans defended AJ for that chicken shite stunt. Showing up his All American center in front of a world wide audience in the waning minutes of a blowout.

Well I guess Bama won't have to worry about replacing AJ since he was such a terrible leader and everybody on the team hated him so much. Should be a more cohesive unit next season
