No he didn't. He was slimy as shite and would work in the gray areas and negative recruit and do bitch moves all the time, but he had plenty of recruits stolen from him by other programs. Tennessee and Ohio state come to mind.
Again not saying he didn't cheat at all, just had basically zero support to be able to do that. Which is what you need.

Average Ranking UF #4.5 UGa #9.75
Really only 5 places average over your worst classes and some of our best. Not a huge gap.

Roster mgt was also an issue.Lots of the kids from those classes either quit or were kicked off the team.
Those classes combined had 13 players drafted compared
to 28 for UF including 6 #1's to our 2.
That's a pretty considerable gap.

You want to talk about players leaving the team when Boom took over from Meyer? I think you are going to lose that battle. We had 5* players stealing credit cards from students that died in a car accident. We were all fricked up when Meyer left.
And Richt has always had great players at UGa who didn't do much in college. You know this.

That’s kind of the point. He’s not outstanding. He was terrible in 2017. Franks wasn’t anything special, yet with Mullen and Brian Johnson’s magic this year, all of a sudden Franks is top 3 in the SEC statistically. Despite his clear problems as a QB. It’s a huge testament to Mullen’s coaching ability. Franks had 31 touchdowns last season and he probably isn’t even in Mullen’s top 5 in terms of best quarterbacks he’s ever coached. It was an outstanding job by Mullen that only Georgia fans can’t seem to see. Part of the delusion.
