You got improvement from a freshman who did what all freshmen do. He grew into a sophomore.

I can give credit to mullen for helping franks.
But very few freshmen QBS do not get better. It goes with experience regardless of the coach.

What sophomore didn't improve after a freshman season?

Here is the question... where will the junior campaign be? Nick fitzgerald didn't improve in his junior season under mullen. Was that on mullen? Fitzgerald?

Congrats on your freshman becoming a sophomore.

Normal improvement is 9 TD and 8 INT to 15 TD and 7 INT.

Franks went from 9/8 to 31 TD and 6 INT!

If you want to talk Fitzgerald, Mullen had him looking like a potential Heisman candidate. If I’m not mistaken, he got benched at times this year. He regressed massively after Mullen left. Keep telling yourself Mullen’s work with Feleipe was a normal progression for a freshman becoming a sophomore. You’ll be devastated when you see what this offense looks like next Fall (assuming the OL gels).

Also, Feleipe had more passing touchdowns and less interceptions that Nick Fitzgerald had in either full season under Mullen. And that was without a year redshirting/learning the system.

Correct. The hype was there for preseason Junior year. Never during the season or post-season, though.

No. He regressed after his sophomore year. His junior and season seasons were both very subpar. But it started his junior year with Mullen.

I like how you leave yourself an out there. It will be the OLs fault. Not Mullen. Not Franks. Maybe your OL coach is the weakest on the team.

Nope just being realistic. Replacing 4 starters on the OL, it’s the natural question mark going into the season. Basically what the whole season hinges on. If they progress next year how the OL progressed this year, they’ll be fine. Hevesy has a rather long track record of producing really, really good offensive lines.

You’re reaching pretty far here

His passer rating was almost the exact same, which proves you wrong here. Regressed after his first year.

Franks went drop 113 to 143. I am not sure what is normal.

You want to talk about players leaving the team when Boom took over from Meyer? I think you are going to lose that battle. We had 5* players stealing credit cards from students that died in a car accident. We were all fricked up when Meyer left.

Did you even pay attention to the draft data I provided?

Once AGAIN,you had double the players drafted and 3 times the first round picks but you go guys were "screwed" when Urban left? Boom had 3 top 3 classes in 4 years.Gee,I feel so incredibly bad for you.

UF will have 2 more 1st rd picks in April with Polite and Taylor, Gardner will probably go in the 2nd. The talent gap between UGA and UF will be far greater the next 2 seasons than the last 2, just keeping it real.

If great HS players were smart, out of the SEC, they’d choose UF, UGA,or TAMU. These schools have the best football programs, for their academic level in the conference.

My point is.. if football fails, your at the best school for football or academics in the conference. I realize that’s not my school... but if you’re not as smart and more into pussy, Ole Miss is a great place to accept a scholarship.

4 star

None were all-timers.

Polite will be replaced by committee + UL transfer, still have Zuniga on the other side to deal with too.

Taylor is a big loss for sure, need to see big improvement from the RS OL from last year.

23 played great in a bounce back year; think they rotate a combo of Hendo, Dean, and Burney through there until 1 sticks - probably Burney. Dude is a specimen and showed out as a true frosh this year.

It's a lot easier to replace developed 3-stars when you have multiple blue chip backups. McElwain needed to hit on every single BC he recruited for the team to do anything, which was obviously unrealistic.

Agreed, we will be more talented virtually on every position on the field but the Mullen factor more than evens things out. We can only hope, maybe we should just shut the shite down and call it a day. Safe travels.

Good question. Looks like he got worse from year 1 to year 2 and stayed about the same in year 3.

I don’t understand how most Georgia fans can’t see that improvement and give him some due props. Not directed at you, but that’s what comes off as delusional. Just look at the numbers and you can see the vast improvement in coaching that’s been injected into Florida’s program.

I agree. That being said, Franks still has a ton of room to grow. If he was a better QB, y’all could have pulled out that game in Jacksonville this year.

But anyone who doesn’t think Mullen is some sort of QB guru just needs to look at his track record.
