I know some things, he wasn’t egregious, he just barked up the same tree, Saban and his disciples do. Head Coaches get boosters in line not the other way around as some people would like you to believe.

He’s not outstanding. He was terrible in 2017. Franks wasn’t anything special, yet with Mullen and Brian Johnson’s magic this year, all of a sudden Franks is top 3 in the SEC statistically.

In conference play, Franks was 9th in QB efficiency.

In conference play, Franks was 6th in passing TDs.

He is 11th in conference play for rushing TDs at 5. That is impressive for a QB. Considering that your team only has 8 more rushing TDs in conference play, I don't know if that indicates a failure of scheme, OL, runningbacks, or what.
conference play rushing TDs.

The reality is that Jake Fromm threw 18 TDs in the first half and 12 TDs in the second half. Tua threw 31 passing TDs in the first half and 12 TDs in the second half.

Franks' 13 first half passing TDs kind of tells you about his passing ability to the rest of the conference quality QBs if you want to look at total numbers.

I get what you’re saying, but you can’t just discredit Franks’ 2nd half numbers.

saying a lot of people seem to care about polls.

Polls are fine, but rankings that flat out ignore relevant factors are flawed and lack credibility.

The context is comparing Franks to the best QBs in the conference.
Justin Fields finished out the 4th quarter in 10 games this season.
Tua rarely played in the second half.

Looking at raw numbers without context is Florida masterbation while looking at a picture of Felipe Franks. It is satisfying to them if they want it to be.

This is where efficiency stats are more relevant (than cumulative stats) and Franks was middle of the conference.

Franks played some shitty football and he also played some damned good football. One thing about him is he is tough as hell. When he drops back to pass all I can think about is one team will be really happy in a few seconds, but you never know which one.

Where was he pre-Mullen? I think that’s what he’s excited about. I don’t expect you to get the point though.

Well he was too lazy to hire a bunch of hookers to compete with his in state rival, that's for sure. So we are gonna miss on local talent like Laremy Tunsil who was born, raised and played high school football 40 miles away from Gainesville. And we are OK with that.

And yet, nothing has been proven to be more untrue. Shame on you for spreading lies about MSU's GOAT coach.

All those 5 stars and 3 losses. UF had Mcelwain's 3 stars and finished with 3 losses. Kirby sucks.

He’s completely missing the point. It’s about the fact that Franks was middle of the pack in conference play and towards the top of the conference overall in several categories...

Compared to what he did last year. That’s the Mullen effect and why everybody in Gainesville is so excited about the future. It’s precisely because Franks probably isn’t great, yet Mullen got really good production out of him. It’s why we’re saying “wow, he got 31 touchdowns and 6 interceptions out of a quarterback that had 9 touchdowns and 8 interceptions last year. Imagine what he’s going to do with a quarterback that has a higher floor and a higher ceiling”.

I don’t understand how most Georgia fans can’t see that improvement and give him some due props. Not directed at you, but that’s what comes off as delusional. Just look at the numbers and you can see the vast improvement in coaching that’s been injected into Florida’s program.
