Auburn would be better off demoting Chizik to DC and promoting Malzahn to HC/OC.
Why, then we would need another OC to call the plays and Malzahn does pretty damn good in that relm.
The job of the HC is to assemble a cast arround him and lead the team and act as the CEO. The OC's and DC's call the plays and get the job done.

Gus Malzahn is a decent OC, Jim McElwain is a decent OC also, they both benefited from the players that they coached.
Malzahn is not the special one, Cam Newton is /was the special one. Mark Ingram, T. Rich and the O line were the special ones for BAMA not McElwain.

None of those years translated into the amount of wins you had in 2010.
You think that might have anything to do with the defenses on those other teams? Gus can only call plays and help score points and he has done that every single place he has been.

Once again, did Cam Newton play at Tulsa??

I agree with this.

Malzahn has had success everywhere he has been. Every team has improved greatly compared to the year before he was there. His offenses at Tulsa were ranked #1 and #2 in the country, respectively. He hasn't had the same starting quarterback in any two consecutive years, yet his offenses continue to produce.
But hey, keep on doubting. Suits us just fine. ;)

I thought it was pretty clear that most Alabama fans thought he is a solid coach. Otherwise, why does everyone say he's the brains behind all the success in 2010?

So, are you going to unban me? All I did was cuss and tell someone to take their homer shades off.
Same with AMM and blzr.

Can you ban me on AE? Apparently my active membership there is a black mark on my TD rep.

Malzahn had the best offense in the nation at Tulsa. Pretty sure Tulsa wasn't loaded with talent those couple years under Gus.
