It’s really not that surprising. I believe the highest finish in their “golden years” was 5th in the SEC and they were ecstatic!
That, and they hang their hats on the fact that they kept a game closer with us than bama, but inevitably lost. Sadly, that is something they are used to, but they’re optimistic. A coach that has sucked everywhere he has been will lead them down glory road again...

I read an article recently that spoke to jerks/trolls on internet message boards.
The crux was that a few tools set the tone for everyone; and once some people act like fools, others follow suit, thinking that’s the expectation.
I think the same can be said for people failing to control themselves at football games.
All it takes is a few sober folks calling out the drunks for their obnoxious behavior, and the problem is nipped in the bud.
