Nah, the true redneck South is in those flat deltas. They're much different than the plains out your way.

There's no racism in space. Only peace and CrossFit. The galactic wonders are endless...

I hear ET runs a killer CrossFit routine
Of course he has to modify some moves to make them more Skitter-friendly.

The BBQ debate is also ridiculous. I have eaten plenty of Memphis BBQ, and MUCH PREFER KC's. I'm sure, as with most preferences, past history influences everyone.
KC was frequent destination for cattle drives. Stockyard area is infamous for beef in any form.

I don't know about that. It's flat on either side of the Mississippi.

The football team acted like clowns coming into the league. We are a football conference and didn't like that much. That's my reason for disliking Mizzu

Beef while tasty is not BBQ here in the south.
Pork = BBQ.
Ribs/Shoulder/Whole Hog are the 3 categories. Chicken and Brisket are sideshows in most BBQ competitions down here.

KCBS > MBN.
And it's not even close.

Well, plenty of BBQ pork is consumed in Missouri.....but beef ribs, brisket are no less favored.
BBQ is all about the sauce, not the meat.

Actually good BBQ doesn't require sauce.

Agree. Anyone even mentioning memphis in the same breath as KC BBQ should be shot on site and sent straight to hell where they belong.

Missouri belongs in the SEC. So does a school from Virginia and as school from NC. We must return to the natural order.

I have. I like it. I also like Beaumont, Texas BBQ better than anything, but that's just preference. KC BBQ is the shite.

I'm posting to no one in particular...
BBQ is about the SMOKE, not the sauce. Good BBQ doesn't need sauce. I'm personally a dry rub guy.
Mizzou acted like they owned the joint when first inducted into the SEC. I suppose they weren't much for being cordial and then letting the actions speak for themselves.
While the above is true, I do find the toilet paper in the SEC to be softer.
Texas isn't the South or the South East. I'm good with that, but you can bet your arse that we love football as much as anyone else in the SEC.
And while Tennessee has fallen upon lean times for their team, Texas thanks you for sending us your ruffians so we could together whip señor Antonio Lopez de Santa Ana.

You need to try some meat that is somked properly WITH the correct rub AND topped with the correct sauce. They all build together to make KC BBQ.
