Missouri does alot more with alot less resources. I also don't know why any top hs recruit would choose A&M over Texas, Texas is a marquee brand, A&M isn't no matter what the fans say.

Mizzou is comfortably middle class in the SEC. Also, Mizzou is comfortably an odd duck in the SEC.

When we talk trash and beat your SEC rivals, it's funny. When we thump our chest with a crootin' win, it's silly. I know it. You know it. We all know it.

TAMU is bizarre. It spends money like it's hot sh!t, but doesn't have the corresponding success. A touch more Texan arrogance and a touch less humility.

This wasn't true a few years ago. There used to be a lot more "Mizzou doesn't belong", "send them back to the Big 12", "not an SEC school" commentary around here. And Aggy used to get more of a pass because it spent big money, has a gigantic stadium, and does have a strong (albeit weird) fanbase. I think what's happened is that more SEC fans have now actually visited Columbia, MO for a football game and realized that we aren't foreign weirdos and experienced that Mizzou/Columbia is a fun roadtrip. It's not the rowdiest crowd in the SEC by any means, but it's not a bad place to spend a weekend in the Fall. Mizzou finally having a competitive team this season doesn't hurt. Meanwhile, Texas A&M keeps underperforming and doubling down by spending more money to buy success.

Everyone including the Gumps take their lumps and to your point, Mizzou got way more shite when they first entered other than from Arkansas fans who knew Aggie from the SWC days and some LSU fans.

Dunno. Aggy fans seem like good people. I don't understand why they're so vehemently despised. I get the male cheerleaders are weird and all that but I've seen nothing from Aggy fans that warrants a quarter of the hate they receive around here...

A few factors come together here:

1. It’s basically an LSU site

2. This stuff dates back to the late 80s - early 90s

3. Heavy recruiting battleground

Because they're a blind, arrogant cult.

There are extremists in all fanbases and that is part of what makes college football fun.

Aggies tend to frustrate other fanbases because the overwhelming amount of aggies don't know their place. UGA, Bama and even LSU have the recent history to talk **** and to be respected. Aggies act like a peer amongst this group. It doesn't make sense.

Texas fans acknowledge that we have sucked for a dozen years. We are honest about our problems. A&M has done nothing that matters in any meaningful sport in any of our lifetimes and act like they are elite.

I knew nothing about either team. Mizzou comes into the conference, has a normal program and became a game you don’t overlook.

A&M talks shite all the time, spends an arse of money, gets beaten regularly and has a bunch of dude cheerleaders. Seriously, what the frick is up with the dude cheerleaders?

Mizzou fans have a little humility. Humility goes a long way.

The biggest problem with aggie is time. I don't think you guys realize how much time factors in to A&M's suckage. I spent time with a family member yesterday who is quite old. He was born in 1942. He hasn't seen an aggie national title in football in his lifetime. There are people who have been born, graduated from A&M, gotten married & had kids and the haven't seen an aggie conference title in their lifetimes.

"It's like Georgia and Georgia Tech"

This was correct.

A&M isn't even on par with Oklahoma State (aka the real aggies)

Bc Mizzou has accomplished more....a lot more. And Mizzou had only 1 gay player vs. the whole team.

The first response to the OP should have been sufficient to end thread.....well done.
