I would pick OU if it weren't for their entire OL transferring or exhausting eligibility. If they can protect the QB, it will be OU. If not:

LSU
OU
UT

OU has what should be a great D. If one looks back at BV in his first 3 Clemson years he improved their D to top 10 in year 3 and kept it there. He knows from having played SEC teams what he needed to do when he got here. Granted, LR left the defense bare of talent compared to what BV likely had to start with at Clemson. But he knows how to build D and that should keep us in all games barring any big injuries. He’s building depth as well which will be needed.

Still nervous about this. The defense went from being bad in year one under Brent to being average in year two. "Great" in year three would be a pretty big jump.

I do think OU vs. Tennessee and OU vs. LSU will be really competitive games though. The back story with Heupel coming back to Norman and it being OU's first SEC game out to garner a lot of attention when Tennessee comes to town...

And for OU fans, the trip to BR ought to go a long ways in terms of determining whether the two fan bases become rivals with each other considering the legendary stories about the New Orleans Sugar Bowl experience in '04.

With the placement of the game, it would appear that the conference wants OU and LSU to be rivals.

Just looking at OU's schedule puts them in the back of the pack. If they win 8 games it would be a miracle.

Possible. They will come to Norman next year. So maybe our fans will be treated better this year than that fiasco before. I do think there are reg season fans and then bowl game fans. Some are both. But a good chunk of reg season can’t go and sell to others. The crappy fans OU met were likely not indicative of their normal season fans.

I read the other day about how the SEC came up with scheduling. What they did was take each team’s last 11 years and averaged how they performed within their conference. Then they ranked em and used that as a baseline of who would play who.

Since tx had such a shitty last 11 years they got the easy schedule. But since we play them every year they just happen to finally got good again. And of course OU was great so got the tough schedule compared to uterus.

And it just so happens some of the teams OU plays are having peaks not seen in some time like Mizzou and Ole Miss. So we end up with 6 ranked teams to play and we are not gonna win all of them. If we can go 5-3 with that schedule we will have had a great year.

I agree on the D, but it should be stout. If our O plays complimentary and can get leads or not turn ball over too much/have quick possessions - then we can make some hay.

OU will wreck LSU and the state of Louisiana will be on suicide watch/declare civil war on OK. I’ll be here to read the meltdown.

LSU lost a Heisman QB, two first round WR, their starting RB and have glaring holes an DL and DBs…..

LSU will be better, no question about it.

Just sit and ponder that statement for a second!

If you can't beat them (LSU), join them (OU), am I right?
