Putting it mildly. After the nkimdeche's started sliding off the deep end then that snowball rolled downhill fast. Had me begging for at least CUSA quality defense toward his end.

Freeze. So many people forget the absolute shite show he inherited when Nutt left. He built our program back up immediately. He had one bad year when we had a bunch of true freshmen starting after losing a shite ton of talent and our All-SEC QB went down with a torn ACL. And in that same season we still beat the shite out of Georgia and beat a top 10 A&M team on the road with a true freshman making his first start ever.

Malzahn had considerably more talent when he took over at Auburn and more resources than when Freeze took over at Ole Miss

Personality wise they're similar. Freeze will be more of a rollercoaster ride. He actually benefits from getting fired when he did. He was about to have another bad season as he had lost a lot of the locker room towards the end of his tenure. Matt Luke did a solid job to get that interim team to 6-6.
