Those ingredients don't include spelling, apparently.

Oh yea, you know we've solidified ourselves as the better program when LSU fans are coming for our spelling mistakes.

Let's eat.

Nah, no one on this board even thinks Mizzou is in the SEC. I mean, just look at all the folks posting about not even thinking about Mizzou.

So your contention is that the most recent PRIOR SEASON head to head should determine the CURRENT relative strength of teams?

You better let the CFP committee know this ASAP. It’s gonna mess things up when they select the teams at the end of 2024.

btw…all time series MU v. LSU is 2-2.

This Missouri defense under Corey Batoon is just as aggressive and far more disciplined than the one Baker ran.

Losing to a team does not necessarily mean they are better than you.

For example, LSU lost to A&M in 2022. A&M was not a better team. LSU was 10-4 and A&M was 5-7. Sometimes the better team loses.

In 2023 Mizzou was 11-2 and ranked #8 in the nation. LSU was 10-3 and ranked #12. The better team lost.

Well you could and you would find most recently the record is 1-1 and all time it is 2-2. Not sure what your point is and how it is determinative of the current state of each team.

When you start with an incorrect statement, and then try to defend it with reason, THIS where you end up — an unsupportable absurdity.

In other words …. This is bullshite. If this were true, then why would we bother having games?

By this logic, we should just rank teams, give the Natty to the “best” team, and we wouldn’t need playoffs games.

Then you would agree for instance that 2022 5-7 A&M was a better team than 16th ranked (final) LSU?

I certainly would not try to make that argument.

Amazing really. Gotta tip the cap to Mizzou though.

So we just aren't going to play the year out?

I'm sure this same thread was made last yr when lsu lost to fsu. That team beat Missou.

Missouri has a good thing going. I like drinkwitz and the way he has assembled that team and staff.

LSU 49. Mizzou 39 played in Columbia.

2 games in it is not clear how good/bad anyone is.

Was responding to a poster who said that the better team always wins.

So I'll ask you, do you think 2022 5-7 A&M was better than 2022 16th ranked LSU?

Shiny hook.

If only there was a head to head recently .

ETA: wait there was! And it was @Mizzou. Then they got their DC stolen. I guess we'll never know who the superior program is

Get real. LSU fans would swap with Mizzou’s football program wholesale in a heartbeat.

They would send Brian Kelly and Chip Mod Baker and all of their shitty players to COMO in a hot minute.

You thought Baker would get you Mizzou’s defense. Nope. Mizzou’s D probably better than last year. LSU is in the cellar.

Those wins over Murray State and Buffalo sure have me convinced. That road trip to UMASS should really tell the tale though. And I'm pretty sure Kelly's team beat Mizzou last year.

Yep they beat us, evened the series at .500
