The most likely loss on the schedule is Tennessee by conventional wisdom, but the game is so late in the season that it’s hard to put a lot of stock into that.
Most people would’ve thought a rematch between Georgia and Bama in the SECCG was a lock going into last season, but that never materialized. I’m willing to bet nobody would’ve picked Tennessee as Georgia’s toughest regular season opponent in the preseason.
The point is, we don’t know how good or bad anybody on the schedule *really* is until we get a month or so into the season. I still think Ole Miss will be tougher than people are thinking and going to Auburn can still be hairy if we don’t show up.

Some random 5-loss team will upset them while they're sleepwalking through a game or somebody get's injured (hope the latter is not the case).
Then they'll finish 11-1, play for the SEC championship and still make the playoff

Beamer and SCe looked like a different team to end the season...
Not a trap game but when we play SC strange things happen sometimes.
Not calling a win for the roosters but could be a very interesting game...

Honestly, I think it’s possible they slip up during the regular season. Even Sabah said it’s impossible to keep kids motivated through a blah schedule week after week. Different set of kids and if Kirby doesn’t find the right disrespect voodoo juice slogan, they could easily slip up.
Expecting to go 12-0 in CFB is a fools errand given the rarity of it happening with more than one team in any given season compared to the overall number of teams. Going undefeated in the regular season 3 years in a row is infinitely rarer. I think the best shot for UGA to drop one in the regular season this year is at Knoxville in November, not because UT is close to UGA but going on the road, depending on UTs season to that point, is not going to be easy. It also would not be overly surprising if USC bested UGA early in the season. Both games are, on paper right now, pretty easy wins for UGA and at least a double digit favor in each...but it is CFB and emotions play a role every season for every team, UGA is not immune to it. They should be undefeated and probably will be but expecting it is a fools game...

It also amazes me how many true road games they manage to have.
In 2023 it's four — and two of those are against Vanderbilt and Georgia Tech.
Last season they played the Chick-fil-A Kickoff, the SEC Championship, and the first round of the CFP in Atlanta.
60 miles from the epicenter of the college football world will do that for you, especially when you play another game 60 miles away "on the road" every other year and one neutral site game every year.

UGA has a lot of holes to fill, most notably at QB, and several on defense.
Tennessee, Florida, Auburn, Kentucky and South Carolina all could beat us, and don't forget -- we could beat ourselves.
Stay thirsty, Dawgs.
Its CFB and folks in their early 20s who have been pampered and told how good they are since the age of 6 or so. Look at the 2 week stretch from Kent State to Missourri in 2022..slept walk 6 of those 8 quarters. It will happen again this and every season...winning those games where you do not show up is impressive and gives coaches enough to motivate. Being told you can't miss is destructive for anyone...

who will be the next team that beats UGA and when?
we aren't losing in the regular season. So our next loss will have to be one of the following:
-SEC Championship if alabama. If the opponent is anyone other than alabama we won't lose
-If not to alabmaa in SECCG, the only other team capable of beating us is ohio state so if we meet them in the playoffs that'd be the next option
-If we lose to neither AL nor OSu this year, our next chance at a loss won't be til 2024. We open with clemson but rest of the schedule isn't nailed down yet

The only teams that have a chance is Tennessee in Knoxville or Michigan in playoffs. They’ll blow the doors off Auburn & Florida. Those games used to be good TV. Not anymore.
Barring a total loss of control somehow UGA will most likely lose to someone they should beat...they will not sleep walk through Auburn, Florida or UT. USC, Mizzoo or Ole Miss may get the sleepy Dawgs and get a W but if Auburn, UF or UT do something is amiss in Athens OR that team is more improved than expected.

my guess is when it's the expanded playoffs
Just because they put 50 points on your purple noggin in the SECCG doesn't rule out better SEC teams.
Check the score the year before in the SECCG.

Hence why Texas will be far more dangerous in the SEC than the Big 12.
Thats a good take...Texas has a roster to be competitive in the middle of the SEC for certain...and that roster is going to get better with NIL and the move to the SEC. I think there has been a LOT of Texas teams who found it difficult to get up for the Baylor's and Texas Tech's. Going on the road in the SEC is not going to be comfortable for Texas but that baptism by fire can be the kind of stuff football players and staff, competitive bastards that they all are, get stoked for. I think it will take 4-5 seasons but if Texas does manage to pull off an upset or two in the first couple of seasons Texas could be a problem....

Tennessee wasn't close to the toughest regular season opponent...Mizzoo and Kentucky were both tougher when they played UGA. Tennessee was fixin to get run out of Athens ala Oregon and TCU when the rain set in and both teams more or less resigned themselves to their fate. The team that annihilated Oregon and TCU was the team Tennessee got...it was not the team which thought showing up would be enough in Missouri (as it turned out they were not wrong) or who went to Lexington on a business trip and closed the deal and coasted. Ohio State is the only team UGA played last year who had a shot to beat UGA without UGA beating themselves...

I hope USC bloodies UGAs nose this year...I don't think they could beat UGA 1 in 10 games but I hope they punch them in the mouth and remind them that they ain't as good as the 130-9 or whatever the combined score is for the first 2 games because UGA has another rent a win to get their asses chewed on before Auburn and the meat of the schedule. If USC lays down UGA is liable to go into Auburn with a similar mindset which nearly got that arse whupped in Mizzoo last year...

Tennessee fans have always been insecure. They put up this big front. Talking about their coming greatness THIS year. THIS is THE year. They know, like all of us do, how they are going to do a huge belly flop once again. They sure take advantage of the off season. Got to get in all that big talk before Sept gets here

Bump
1 out of 2. Mizzou showed up to play and didn’t get waxed as I predicted.
